Your new role

• You will report directly to the Tax Accountant in the National Finance Team and assist in key areas such as Contract-Out-Services (COS VAT).
• You will need to acquire an understanding of commercial/non-business/exempt activities from a VAT perspective and apply this knowledge to the monthly transactions coded to COS.
• You will need to quickly decide which transactions require further investigation by contacting other districts.
• Running the necessary reports from finance systems to reconcile transactions which have been coded inside the scope of CIS to produce the monthly contractor CIS returns to HMRC in a timely manner.
• Ad-hoc finance support to the Tax Accountant

What you'll need to succeed

• A solid background in accounting and a thorough understanding of double entry bookkeeping is essential. Previous experience with producing journals is also a requirement.
• Be part-qualified or currently studying for ACCA/CIMA or fully qualified for AAT.
• Be proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Excel, including being able to create Pivot Tables.
• Previous experience with dealing with VAT such as VAT returns is also desirable.
• Be enthusiastic about learning about new areas of tax.
• Be able to work on own initiative with little guidance.
• Experience in the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) is preferable but not essential.
• A good level of communication skills including writing concise and clear emails to various internal stakeholders.

Education Support Assistant

Salary: £26,421 FTE, £21,497 prorated
Hours: 35 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year (TTO +INSET)
Contract Type: 1-year fixed term until 31/08/2025

About the Role
As an integral part ofpastoral provision, you will be responsible for planning and deliveringtargeted interventions to identified KS4 students who require additionalsupport. This role involves maintaining high expectations and helping studentsidentify their personal aspirations. You'll provide mentoring interventions andsupport students as they work independently on core subjects. Occasionally, youmay accompany students to off-site activities.

About You

• A proactive and resourceful individual committed to ensuring high standards for all young people.
• Your up-to-date knowledge and demonstrated commitment to recent training related to SEND interventions, literacy, or numeracy are essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills are crucial, as you'll interact with parents, outside agencies, and students.
• A good standard of education with proficiency in English and Maths, along with experience working with young people with SEND, is essential. SEND-specific qualifications are desirable.
• Patience, compassion, and confidence in working with secondary students in KS4 are key attributes.

The organisation are looking for a Front Desk Assistant for their Bristol office on a temporary basis. They are looking for someone to start on Monday 1st April. Pay for the role is £12.00 per hour + holiday. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 08:00-116:00, and could also be flexible around 09:00-17:00. Main duties of the role include:
