Your new role
Reporting to the Management Accountant and supporting the Management Accounts team, you will assist by handling budget preparation.and monitoring, processing financial entities and generating monthly accounts.Key duties will include assisting with management accounts, postingmonthly journals, analysing financialdata, supporting budget holders, ensuring accurate billing, and maintainingcompliance with financial regulations. Additionally, the role will includecompleting balance sheet reconciliations, managing the fixed asset register,and conducting fixed asset audits.


What you'll need to succeed

• GCSE Maths and English A*-C
• You will be AAT Qualified in orworking towards AAT or similar qualifications
• Experience working as part of aFinance team in a finance role
• Strong experience of working with computerised accounts systems and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook,Excel, Word)
• You need to have a dynamic andproactive approach to your work
• You'll need excellentcommunication and team working skills, with the ability to build relationshipswith the wider finance team and non-financial teams.

What will the Finance Assistant role involve?

• Processing purchase ledger including support with prepayments and accruals;
• Responsibilities in sales ledger and credit control on a daily basis;
• Complex reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and resolving queries;
• Monthly reporting for month-end close
• Month end and year end preparation assistance and working closely with senior management.

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Assistant vacancy:

• It’s essential that applicants have a detailed understanding of transactional finance including sales ledger, credit control and reconciliations.
• An AAT studier is advantageous although not essential, study support is offered;
• You will be confident dealing with people at all levels, this includes senior management and students;
• A requirement is a confident skillset level using accountancy systems and Excel.

They are seeking an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis offering a hybrid working pattern, a salary of £25,000, as well as a range of additional benefits.

You will be reporting to the Finance Manager and operating within a large finance function. You will have a variety of accounting responsibilities within this fast-paced business and high-volume environment.
