We have an opportunity for a Recruitment Team Leader to join us for a12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. Secondments will be considered.

We are looking for a candidate who is able to 'hit the floor running' to join our high performing recruitment team.

You will be accountable for the operational delivery of a customer focused service to all hiring managers within their division. You will be responsible for the line management and development of the recruitment team and they will liaise with service users to deliver a recruitment service in line with legislation and best practice in order to meet Trust objectives.

You will support the Recruitment Manager in improving efficiencies through innovation and contribute to the development and growth of the service. You will support the delivery of resourcing development projects and manage development implementation across the Trust ensuring they are delivered within agreed objectives, targets, quality standards and cost constraints.

This is hybrid role between working from home and in the office.

As the Team Leader it will be required for you to have extensive experience on TRAC, bring up to date with the changes made, running reports and updating templates as and when required.

As the Recruitment Team Leader you would lead on proving a timely and compliant customer focused end to end recruitment.

You will be responsible for monthly updates on time to hire, reporting on the time scales and identifying areas of improvement, making suggestions and raising concerns and ideas.

In addition to the time to hire report you will be responsible for various reports which are carried out monthly and ad hoc, working closely with the workforce team to ensure accurate information for all new starters and vacancy information.

You will be expected communicate with all service managers to have an understanding of their recruiting needs and work with the recruitment officers to ensure resourcing requirements are met.

About the unit 

The Nursing Resource Pool (NRP) is made up of a variety of Nurses (ICU nurses, progressive-care nurses, and medical-surgical nurses), Nursing Assistants, Ward Secretaries and Patient Observation Aides (Patient Sitters).  Being a team member in the NRP means having the flexibility to work in various units or departments within a healthcare facility.  It involves being ready to step in and provide care where it is needed most.  Depending on staffing needs, the NRP member will be deployed to different specialties such as medical-surgical, progressive and critical care.  Some members of the NRP do assist in women's health.  This role requires adaptability, quick thinking, and the ability to work effectively in different environments.  It also entails being knowledgeable about a wide range of hospital practices and policies.  Strong communication skills are necessary to collaborate with all team members.  The patients, families, and staff of the hospital all greatly value and appreciate the help and expertise that the NRP staff provide to them.

Summary:

The HRI Scientist supports scientific research activities of the Advanced Tissue Imaging Shared Resource (ATISR); conducts complex experiments and specialized laboratory tests; presents findings including preliminary interpretation for further review; inputs clinical and or research information into a designated database system; generates written reports; assists in manuscript and grant writing; conducts preventative and routine maintenance of equipment as needed and keeps maintenance records of lab equipment, repairs and inspections; conducts technical training of new staff; oversight of laboratory supply ordering/inventory; responds to emergency calls relating to the operations of the designated research program; coordinates OES inspections and resolves any issues and or violations in a timely manner and attends scientific meetings as require; processes samples submitted to laboratory for various studies; interacts with ATISR, users and collaborators; performs other related duties as assigned.

Salary range for this position is $39,900-$185,000 annually which includes comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

1. M.D. or PhD in an appropriate field; or
2. Master’s degree in an appropriate field

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Cancer Institute as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate should have demonstrated excellence in two or more of the following areas:

• Multispectral immunofluorescent staining and image acquisition
• Experience with GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler
• Experience with BOND RXm Automated Stainer
• Experience with AKOYA Vectra Polaris and InForm platform and/or GeoMx digital spatial profiler 

In addition, the preferred candidate should have experience managing a multi-person team, collaborating with researchers, tracking projects; generation of scientific abstracts, data for publications/grant applications, and published peer-reviewed research.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Manages the delivery of nursing care utilizing the nursing process to provide high quality patient care. Directs and assists others on the Healthcare team to provide positive outcomes.
• Performs quality control audits, monitors and documents problems as they relate to nursing issues related to accuracy, quality of care and the MDS Assures continuity of information including assessment and care plans.
• Provides appropriate staffing levels while being fiscally responsible with productivity standards. Adjusts patient assignments to ensure safe patient care according to patient acuity. Delegates responsibilities with a professional, objective approach.
• Utilizes critical thinking in implementing the coordination of medical and nursing interventions. Interventions demonstrate care planning that will promote good clinical outcomes.
• Functions as a liaison between patient, family, unit staff, physician, and ancillary personnel. Facilitates collaboration between patients, family physicians and members of the Healthcare team. Rounds on patients and families; responds promptly and professionally to customers addressing requests, problems and concerns.

Summary:

Assists with the daily operations of the Resource Center and the Elevate Salon. Trains and supervises the Resource Center and Elevate Salon volunteers. Identifies, develops and updates patient education materials in the Resource Center in cooperation with the Concierge Services Department and Patient Education Department. Educates patients and family members on cancer information and provides support, compassion and access to reliable resources. Assists the Patient Experience and Concierge Departments with the development and implementation of institute-wide educational and Quality of Life grant funded programs, which may include patient outreach and support as well as other basic cancer information. The pay range for this position is $46,649 -$59,159 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Development, Education, Communications or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in a health or education related field; or
