The Recruitment Co. is recruiting for a HR Administrator to join our clients HR team based in the Llangynwyd, Maesteg area.
Salary: £26-£28,000p.a
Hours work: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week: 8.30am-4.30pm shifts
Contract: Ongoing Temporary contract with the potential to turn permanent for the right candidate
Main Responsibilities:
Recruitment
- To ensure that all ATR's are completed and authorised prior to notifying the HR Officer that recruitment can begin
- Ensure that job adverts are posted internally and on Oracle/other recruiting platforms as appropriate
- Ensure that all contracts and offer packs are prepared in a timely and accurate manner, and that all signed paperwork is returned as required
- Ensure that all pre-employment medical questionnaires are sent out with offer packs, and returned directly to Occupational Health, and that fitness to work certificates are obtained from Occupational Health in advance of the employee's start date. Any issues arising from the pre-employments must be raised to the HR Officer immediately
- Ensure that right to work checks are done and saved to the employee files
Absence
- Ensure that medical certificates are received in the appropriate time in line with the absence procedure and trackers and T&A System is kept up to date. Any medical certificates that are not received are escalated to the HR Officer.
- When requested, ensure appropriate appointment letters are sent to employees in regards to Occupational Health & absence review meetings
- Ensure that return to work paperwork is recorded and saved to the Employees file. Any paperwork that is not returned is escalated to the HR Officer immediately.
- Provide a weekly report to the Mill manager, HR Manager, HR Officer & relevant departmental managers on the absence information
Employee Records
- Ensure that employee records including Oracle profile is kept up to date and any changes are actioned in a timely manner. Changes can include, new starters, internal changes, leavers etc
- To maintain an up to date log of all manager and staff holiday bookings for the site, to ensure clear visibility of planned absence at the site
Candidate requirements:
- Previous administration experience ideally from a HR environment
- Be able to undertake HR administrative duties to a high standard
- Scanning, filing, shredding of employee data, ensuring compliance with DPL / GDPR.
- Strong HR administration skills
- HR experience is desirable but not essential
