The Role
Live Nation Canada is looking for a strategic and experienced individual to join their Human Resources team in the Vancouver office. The HR Manager will partner closely with business leaders and venues in the West to advise on people-related strategy and decisions, including employee engagement, talent management, compensation, and change management. They will also lead our national learning and development strategy.
Act as primary point of HR contact to all managers and employees in the Vancouver and Calgary offices, and owned and operated venues in the West in the areas of employee relations, change management, performance management, employee engagement, compensation, and learning and development.
Assist the team in Western Canada by developing HR strategies supporting employee engagement.
Support the talent acquisition team on recruitment efforts, from time to time.
Manage onboarding and offboarding for all employees in the West, providing an excellent employee experience.
Play a strategic role in identifying organizational needs, ensuring succession plans are in place, and employees are giving opportunities to grow their career and role.
Responsible for developing the annual national training plan, supporting Live Nation Canada’s goals and employees needs, by conducting learning needs assessments.
Support the department heads in developing and executing training plans for their teams.
Research, implement and/or design training opportunities for employees based on their training needs analysis.
Partner with the global learning and development team to deliver high quality, impactful and successful training opportunities.
Responsible for the application of all corporate policies and guidelines, to ensure fair and consistent application while addressing local needs and challenges.
Remain current with industry standards, legislative changes, and Human Resource best practices, ensuring Live Nation Canada remains compliant with British Columbia Labour Laws.
Support the payroll process with various administrative tasks; reports, approval of payroll register, etc.
Administer all employee files for the Vancouver office and owned and operated venues in the West.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in a Human Resources role
Experience working with various levels of leaders, including VPs and Department Heads
Excellent in leading and implementing change
Ability to thrive in an innovative environment with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
A reputation for being excellent at building and nurturing trusting relationships with key stakeholders and employees.
Excellent communication skills with capability to engage internally and externally at all levels
Highly organized with strong time and task management skills
Experience and knowledge of Workday preferred

Stationary position for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; movement throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; ability to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; move up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.

The expected compensation range for this position in British Columbia is:
$80,000 - $95,000 CAD **
