On offer is a salary of up to £34,000 per year plus overtime, company van, mobile phone, tablet, pension scheme, 25 days holiday plus all bank holidays and career progression.
The Fire Life Safety Installation Engineer will:
Be overseeing the installation and commissioning of a wide range of Fire Life Safety Systems across the East Midlands. Please note there may be to need to work further away to cover for other team members holidays, this is shared across the team so should not be a regular occurrence.
As the Fire Life Safety Installation Engineer you will be:
• Installing, configuring and commissioning fire life safety systems, ensuring that all installations comply with the relevant standards and regulations.
• Working across a wide range of industry sectors and ensuring that you offer a prompt and efficient service delivery that meets project timelines and customers expectations.
• Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices to provide innovative solutions for customers.
• Completing small installations on existing and new projects including troubleshooting any issues that arise during or after installation as well as providing technical support and resolving any customer queries or concerns.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of all installations, configurations and commissioning activities and completing all necessary reports and paperwork promptly.
• Coordinating with the sales team, project managers and other engineers to ensure project execution and handover to clients.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others on site.
To be considered as the Fire Life Safety Installation Engineer you will need the following skills and experience:
• A minimum of three years previous experience of installing and commissioning fire life safety systems.
• A strong understanding of fire and security systems including installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• An understanding of the relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Related Fire & Security Systems Installation Certificates or Qualifications (i.e. FIA, IOSH as well as Bespoke System Manufacturers Courses).
• A willingness to attend appointments across the East Midlands and as required (holiday / sickness cover) to travel further afield.
Other key things to note:
• After completing your probationary period, you will be able to buy an additional 5 days holiday or sell 5 days holiday back to the company.
• Your company van can be used for personal use.
• All your travelling time is considered as working hours so includes travel to and from your first / last appointment which adds around £3,000 to your salary.
On offer for the successful Fire Life Safety Installation Engineer:
• A salary of between £32,000 and £34,000 per year.
