Exporting premium beef internationally, our client is one of Australia’s largest privately-owned beef cattle lot feeding, management, and marketing companies with a fully integrated vertical supply chain.
Your Role
On behalf our client, we are currently seeking experience boilermaker/metal fabricators. This role is responsible for ensuring all of our plant and infrastructure are maintained in excellent working order.
Based in Dalby Qld, you will be a key person in overseeing the general plant operations to be completely safely, accurately, in a timely manner and in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
As the Boilermaker/Metal Fabricator, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
· Utilise skills and knowledge to fabricate and repair a range of feedlot plants and equipment to ensure current infrastructure is in full working order.
· Carry out all routine welding tasks as per company scheduling and direction from management.
· Assisting with ongoing development and implementation of Safe Work Methods (SWM)
· Notify management of any breach of health and safety policies and/or procedures.
· Maintain records as required by the administration and as detailed by company policies and procedures.
· Ensure all operations are performed safely and in accordance with company workplace health hand safety requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, it is important that you can address the following:
· Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding)
· Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMAW) experience in field environment
· Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) experience in field environment
· Ability to modify ways of working and problem solving to ensure adaptability to the environment eg. Grain handling fabrication and manufacturing skills
· Current ‘C’ class drivers’ licence
· WHS Standards
· Proven ability to work autonomously or in a team-based environment
· Good communication skills (written and oral)
· Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work to a high standard
· Ability to successfully complete pre-employment medical as required
For the right candidate, the annual salary package is $65,000 to $75,000 + super.
