KosmodeHealth is a Deep-Tech spin-off from the Food Science & Technology Department at the National University of Singapore. Our mission is to expand access to health from nature without burdening the earth. We specialize in repurposing food processing wastes into functional ingredients for human nutrition. Our innovative approach has been validated through the successful repurposing of Barley Spent Grains into Barley Protein Fibre, leading to the development of W0W® noodles—the world’s only functional food clinically tested to not elevate post-consumption blood sugar levels.
As we continue to set the standard in Sustainable Functional Food, we aim to engage food processing waste generators and food manufacturers with our extraction services and formulation expertise. KosmodeHealth is poised for commercial growth, and we seek business talents to drive customer acquisition and revenue generation.
B. OVERALL JOB SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES
KosmodeHealth is in commercial take-off phase. We are seeking Business Development Executive to support the Director in planning and executing business development activities, focusing on identifying new business opportunities and establishing strategic partnerships to drive growth.
This is a market creation role, creating market demand for sustainable functional ingredients from food processing wastes valorization by demonstrating consumer demand for Food as Medicine like W0W®noodle - the world's only functional food clinically tested to have 0 Glycemic Response to enable blood sugar control. A product that is good for health of people and for the earth as it is made from a repurposed Barley Spent Grain.
The primary responsibility of this role is to establish distribution and sales channels for W0W® noodles in health-focused retail outlets and the HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, Café) sector. This will attract the attention of food manufacturers, inspiring them to manufacture similar products by procuring our services, ingredients, and premixes.
C. SPECIFIC TASKS
Business Development for W0W®brand, Extraction & Functional Food Formulation Services & Functional Ingredients/Food Premix
- Lead Generation: Identify, qualify, and secure business opportunities through outreach efforts targeting food processing waste generators.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention while addressing their needs.
- Solution Offering: Understand client requirements, propose solutions, and respond to inquiries related to our extraction services.
- Market Research: Conduct market intelligence research on competitors and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Sales Closure: Make outbound calls to potential clients, assist in closing sales, and guide clients through the closing process.
- Database Management: Create and maintain a database of prospective clients, tracking engagement and follow-up activities.
Marketing & Sales
- Marketing Collateral Development: Create marketing decks, videos, and other materials that highlight KosmodeHealth's unique offerings.
- Campaign Implementation: Execute online and offline marketing campaigns aimed at increasing market share for W0W® noodles, functional ingredients, and premixes.
- Event Coordination: Organize marketing events such as exhibitions and presentations to showcase our products.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor campaign performance using various metrics, reporting on ROI based on key objectives.
- Branding Support: Assist in developing branding strategies that align with corporate positioning.
- Content Creation: Plan, manage social media calendar. Create content for social media posts.
D. DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
Academic Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or diploma in business administration, marketing, or relevant fields; Mass Communication or New Media is a plus.
- At least 3 years of business development experience in relevant industries.
- “O” level passes in biology and chemistry are advantageous.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in B2B sales with a focus on building strong client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in planning and executing marketing events/campaigns.
- Basic data analytics skill, proficiency in photography, programming, or video editing is a strong advantage.
- A self-driven individual with a resourceful attitude who can thrive within resource constraints.
