The postofNursing Associateisavailable in theFylde and WyreEarlyIntervention Service


You will be a Nursing Associate working within a multidisciplinary team and carry out a diverse range of duties.
As a Band 4 Nursing Associate within the team’ you will be regularly supported and supervised by the Band 6 Nurses and you will be encouraged to take personal responsibility for clinical supervision and your continued professional development plan.
You will be required to undertake the administration of medications; however, these will not include medications deemed as high risk.

You will work as part of a team that provides NICE informed care to people accessing First Episode Psychosis Services in Lancashire. To promote recovery and social inclusion by focusing on the direct needs of service users and carers, working across boundaries of care, organisations and roles.

To work within established processes to assist service users to screen and review their physical health. To create specific recovery plans in relation to the service user’s physical health aimed at promoting social engagement, healthy living and independence.

To provide support directly and flexibly to service users towards goals defined in his or her recovery plan. Build capacity in local communities to deliver socially inclusive opportunities for service users in relation to their physical health.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.


The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
