We are looking for a Band 7 Advanced Mental Health Practitionerto joinEastSpecialist Community Teams (SCT) which coverBracknell, Slough and Windsor and Maidenhead.This isa full-time (1.0wte)rolebased atFir Tree House, Upton Hospital, Slough.
Our SCT Teams are multi-disciplinary teams that deliver treatments to young people with more complex, severe, and enduring mental health problems. As a result, you will find yourself working jointly with other professions such as Children’s Social Care.
The ideal clinician will be thoughtful and reflective, and someone who is a team player. We are an experienced team and as a Service weare able toprovide a supportive structure and regular supervision.
The team is warm, compassionate, and welcoming. You will be provided with a supportive introduction, regularsupervisionand plenty of in-house training opportunities. We also have our free parking on-site.
Staff wellbeing and development is a priority for the team, alongside clinical and management supervision, there is dedicated time for reflective case discussion and team formulation, wellbeing activities and support.
• To complete risk reviews and update safety and care plans for patients and give advice.
• Provide comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions to young people and their families, asappropriate.
• Provide care coordination for young people open to the Service.
• Independently manage an appropriately sized caseload.
• Use supervision effectively.
• To work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team as well as patients, carers, family members and internal and external agencies
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise. responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice.
• Maintain own continuing professional development and contribute to team professional development initiatives.
• To consult with members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team to ensure effective and safe care planning for young people.
• To identifyand report any safeguarding issues as they may arise.
