This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join the the Forensic Outreach Service (FOS) as an Assistant Psychologist.

The post holder will work with people who have complex mental health problems and forensic histories, who have been discharged into the community from secure psychiatric services. FOS offers community mental health services to clients from the 5 Boroughs of Wandsworth, Merton and Sutton, Kingston and Richmond.

Specialist training will be provided for particular aspects of the post as necessary. Regular clinical and educational supervision will also be provided along with academic sessions as part of the weekly team programme. The team is based at Springfield Hospital, although work with clients also takes place in a variety of community settings including their own homes and supported accommodation.

The post holder will work with people who have complex mental health problems and forensic histories, who have been discharged into the community from secure psychiatric services. Working under the clinical supervision of the team forensic psychologist, the role will involve delivering psychological services to clients as part of the wider multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors, community psychiatric nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and recovery support workers. In addition to client facing roles, the post holder will assist in clinically related administration, risk assessment, collection of statistics, development and implementation of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.

HS2’s station construction partner, Balfour Beatty VINCI Systra joint venture (BBVS) are leading the construction of HS2’s new Old Oak Common Station. Set to be the best connected and largest new railway stations ever built in the UK, Old Oak Common will become one of the country’s most vital transport super hubs. The station will have 14 platforms, a mix of six high speed and eight conventional service platforms, with an 850m-long station box. It is expected to be one of the busiest railway stations in the country with high speed rail services to the midlands, Scotland and the North and access to central London and Heathrow via the Crossrail Elizabeth Line.

The Senior Health and Safety Advisor will provide risk-based assurance that the project is compliant with all HSES requirements and provide expert HSES technical advice, guidance, and support.

What you'll be doing

• Implement Business Unit strategy through visible leadership to drive the delivery of Safe at Heart.
• Provide project teams with expert HSW technical advice, guidance and support.
• Collaboratively engage with both internal & external customers and the supply chain to promote zero harm delivery.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, flexible and forward thinking Clinical Endoscopist/trainee Clinical Endoscopists to join us at Barts Health depending on experience/qualification. This will cover Royal London and Mile End Hospital Endoscopy Units. Support for education and mentoring will be provided for the successful candidate to be able to achieve the band 8a (if as band 7).

The qualified Clinical Endoscopist will perform Diagnostic Upper GI endoscopy, and Lower GI endoscopy (or working towards) with JAG certification. The qualified Clinical Endoscopist, if not a qualified non-medical prescriber will be supported to qualify as a prescriber once JAG qualification has been obtained. The qualified Clinical Endoscopist will undertake procedures independently once deemed competent by the Clinical Lead, and act as a mentor to trainees and will be supported to complete train the trainer.

If interested in becoming a trainee, you will be required to complete a training programme of approximately 18-24 months for dual modality. This will include attendance at training courses, completion of practical assessments, JAG training and accreditation by JAG as an independent Endoscopist for upper GI & lower GI endoscopy procedures. You'll work with the MDT and contribute to development, management and delivery of a high quality general and specialist mixed GI endoscopy service. Endoscopy experience or equivalent knowledge would be required to be eligible for this post.

The Post holder will take an active role in ensuring Endoscopy delivers the highest standards of clinical care. This will include supporting the implementation of new nationally agreed directives, programmes, audit and seeking routes to improve/develop the service and role of Endoscopy Nurse or Allied health professional.

The Clinical Endoscopist will be accountable for the care of eligible patients referred for Endoscopy and perform Diagnostic procedure. Responsible for patient post procedure and ensure safe discharge from department.

The post holder will be allocated independent weekly lists across both Royal London Hospital and Mile End Hospital and admin sessions with an agreed job plan.

If the post holder is a trainee they will be allocated specific training lists to undertake supervised scopes as part of the training programme within the agreed time period, a proportion of which should be unassisted. Evidence will be required of the completion rate/outcomes of completed endoscopies, including patient vasovagal episodes, bleeding problems, unplanned admissions and the use of reversal agent. The key performance indicators should be verified and signed off by the Endoscopy Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Lead. The post holder should be observed by their mentor undertaking endoscopies and there is a requirement to submit formative assessments during the training period.

Our acute services are predominantly delivered from our three major sites at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, London, Barnet General Hospital in Barnet and Chase Farm Hospital based in Enfield.
