· Work with the Clinical Trial Team, to strategically plan the workload for Pharmacy Services for the Trust and ensure operational implementation.

· Ensure that Pharmacy procedures relating to clinical trials involving Investigational Medicinal Products (IMP’s) are in accordance with appropriate regulations

· Provide highly specialised professional expertise to Researchers in the development of clinical trial protocols involving medication and related substances and to provide advice & information regarding the application for Clinical Trial Authorisation (CTA) certification from the MHRA.



Paediatric cancer:

· Become accredited to screen SACT to support inpatient, outpatient & day case patients both at OUH (PTC) and across the Thames Valley network

· Providing clinical cover to Kamran’s ward

· Undertake NMP qualification as appropriate

· Gain experience in building prescription templates within the chemocare system

· Gain experience in managing commissioning of high cost drugs, and provision of medicines via compassion use schemes.

· Be the link person between the paediatric clinical pharmacy team and the clinical trials team.

Oncology Pharmacist Nuffield Health Oxford, The Manor Hospital | Fixed Term Contract for one year | Full time Up to £55,770 per annum, depending on experience 37.5 hours per week As an Oncology Pharmacist at our Oxford, The Manor Hospital, you'll be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and you'll have proven post-qualification experience. As an Oncology Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the following: Patient Care: Clinically screen all SACT prescription and process the planning and ordering of treatments for patients. To Provide core support to dispensary staff in the dispensing of medicines to in-patients, out-patients and the supply of discharge medications. To include clinical trial and controlled drug dispensing.



To dispense inpatient, outpatient, clinical trial and controlled drug prescriptions according to dispensary procedures.

To use the Pharmacy Computer system to produce dispensing labels and to make stock issues, receipt and transfers.



To be responsible for unpacking deliveries and filling the automated dispensing system.

To be responsible for putting away dispensing stock including part packs and maintaining tidy storage areas.



To participate in extemporaneous dispensing e.g. preparing creams, ointments and liquid preparations .

To participate in the training and induction of pre-registration students and ATO’s.

To participate in a programme of work based training, development and appraisal.

To participate in the development of the dispensary service.

To participate in the audit of the dispensary service.

To be involved in conducting checks of expiry dates and stock levels.

To maintain accurate records within the dispensary process e.g. clinical trial records, controlled drug registers.

To receive prescriptions from staff and patients at the dispensary hatch and process prescription payments.

To participate in late duties, weekend, evening and bank holiday working according to rota.

Any other duties as requested by the Senior Technician, Operational Manager or Clinical Director of Pharmacy.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Response is looking for an enthusiastic, caring person to join their dedicated team at Rowan House. Rowan House is home to 25 residents with acute mental health needs, working alongside the Adult Mental Health Team. Our roles offer employees variety where every day is different whilst also giving a great sense of pride seeing the positive impact you can have on others.

As a Senior Mental Health Support Worker, you will be responsible for leading shifts, medication management, delegate tasks, manage incidents, monitor the health & safety of the project and residents. You will mentor support workers, leading by positive example alongside having your own case load. You will be responsible for providing person-centred support to clients with serious mental illness including adults who have a primary diagnosis of a psychotic illness often with one or more coexisting conditions such physical health issues, neurodiversity, drugs & alcohol use and cognitive impairment.

Lead shifts, delegating set diarised and daily tasks
Take the lead during incidents, safeguarding and complaints in the absence of the manager, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered.
Ensure all staff are completing relevant health and safety tasks
Mentor new support workers through induction including the completion of the Care Certificate and medication training. Complete the care certificate assessors training.
Work within a One Team Approach and ensure this culture permiates through out the team and lead by example.
Respond to service phone queries and requests from both internal and external customers in a timely manner and delegating where appropriate to other members of the team.
Undertake assessments of referrals and attend regular assessment and risk management training.
Provide emotional support, encouragement, and practical assistance to residents with daily living activities. This may include medication assistance, engaging with interests, education, accessing community groups/facilities, employment, teaching life skills such as shopping, budgeting, using public transport and skills such as planning to prepare and cook meals, maintain accommodation.
Ensure risk is continuously assessed and risk management plans are kept up to date
Comply and remain up to date with all safeguarding policies and procedures for both Adults and Children and Young People

Essential criteria:


GCSE’s in English and Maths (or equivalent)
