About Us:
PHOENIX Healthcare Distribution is a national full-line pharmaceutical wholesaler with a network of distribution centres nationwide. We pride ourselves on delivering a high quality supply chain service to our customers, who include pharmacy, GPs, and hospitals. All of our depots are licensed by the MHRA, and comply with BSI ISO Quality and Environmental standards. We operate twice daily deliveries from our distribution centres across Monday to Friday and on a Saturday morning, and our local teams are supported by a centralised function team, primarily from our Head Office in Runcorn.
About the opportunity:
We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our existing team in our Birmingham Distribution Centre.
Your key responsibilities will include maintaining high volume picking machinery via planned maintenance schedules, maintain up to date records of all maintenance work and support and manage the activities of any outside contractors whilst on site.
The successful candidate will understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines for Pharmaceutical Distributors and carry out the duties in such a way that they demonstrate compliance. You will have the ability to safely work at height. Although you will not have direct reports, you will mentor and coach junior members of the technical team.

Monday to Friday alternate pattern Week 1 - 06:00 - 14:00 Week 2 16:00 - 00:00 Alternate Sundays 1 in 4 - 07:00 - 12:00

Essential Skills/Experience
- Recognised level 3 engineering electrical/mechanical qualification
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
- Experience of fault finding within electrical/mechanical/pneumatic systems.
Desirable:
- IOSH/NEBOSH certificate
- Demonstrated history of continuous improvement
- Knowledge of AS-i/PROFIBUS/PROFINET
