You will provide a specialist clinical pharmacy service to the oncology and clinical haematology specialties, working closely with the Specialist Clinical Pharmacists and other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care. In this exciting post you will rotate through the cancer service and gain exposure to a wide range of sub-specialties. Working under own initiative and completing day to day tasks of the role in an organised and proactive manner Work closely with all disciplines and roles involved in the specialist Oncology pathway to ensure the timely management of patients. Including clinicians, nurses, outpatients, secretaries, management team, and other departments which may require the transfer of sensitive information. Use of hospital systems Medway (hospital patient administration system), CriS and Notis (results system) to obtain results and outcomes, make and amend appointments and track records. Ensure referral to treatment patient data is accurate at all times. Deal appropriately and triage enquiries by telephone and in person, from staff and the general public and field to appropriate members of staff. To sort and distribute mail, ensuring all correspondence is redirected as appropriate, actioning where possible and prioritising the remainder for action Manage email inbox Be able to competently use Medway and other IT systems and participate in training programmes to develop and update personal skills to meet the needs of the department Typing of standard letters, if required.
