We are looking to recruit to the post of Specialist Clinical Pharmacist – Pharmacy Production / Haematology. Production / Technical Services

1. To assist in the overall management of all activities in the Pharmacy Production Unit at the City Hospital Campus of NUH to ensure services are maintained; informing the Assistant Head of Pharmacy - Production Services of workload changes likely to impact on safe working practices.
2. To maintain an awareness and knowledge of new medicines, chemotherapy regimens and service developments to inform workload and workforce planning. This includes being an active member of the appropriate NUH groups at the City Hospital Campus and also via liaison with lead cancer pharmacists and clinicians.
3. To support the Assistant Head of Pharmacy - Production Services and to provide professional advice and support to the various sections in the Pharmacy Production Department.
4. To provide professional support to the Production Management team, responsible for all aspects of the services within this aseptic preparation unit including the approval of all systems of work and documentation used in the unit.

17. To ensure that computer software used in chemotherapy manufacture is regularly reviewed and updated as appropriate and to take the lead on e-prescribing at Cytolab
18. To assist in the maintenance of the Validation Master Plan across the Pharmacy Production Department to ensure its continuing development and validity.

Clinical Haematology coverage

2. To act as a clinical role model for junior pharmacists within the team and demonstrate the ability to provide service that ensures the safe, clinically effective and cost-efficient use of medicines and the ability to check clinically screened dispensed prescriptions.

3. To contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve safe medicines use across the Trust.

4. To ensure compliance with commissioned frameworks, FOC and EAMS agreements, and FOI requests for patients in the haematology directorate alongside other pharmacists working in the haematology team.

5. To act as an Independent Non-medical Prescriber, in accordance with the Health &Social Care Act 2001, specialising in haematology clinical area if and when capacity allows.

6. Day to day clinical management of the patients within haematology speciality on allocated days, ensuring necessary/appropriate medications are available for assessment and treatment needs of the speciality.

Education and Training

To take a lead role in the development, introduction, implementation, training and evaluation of new technologies in relation to chemotherapy provision. This is a key leadership role within the Institute of Nursing and Midwifery Care Excellence, supporting and enabling the Assistant Director of Nursing and Midwifery (R&I) and Clinical Lead for Research and Innovation in relation to research and innovation activity. The post holder is responsible for the development of systems and policies supporting nursing and midwifery research and innovation across the Trust and within the Institute for N&M Care Excellence. This includes initiating and developing research and development programmes and policies which have an impact outside NUH. They will promote sharing of best practice and an organisational culture of learning and excellence.
The post holder will support the Assistant Director of Nursing to ensure alignment of Corporate and Divisional research, innovation for the non-medical clinical workforce. They will have high level leadership, analytical and judgment skills to realise the proposed outcomes of the N&M Strategy through informed development, investment and evaluation of the research, innovation and evidence based practice (EBP). The post holder is responsible for compliance with research and professional regulations and professional standards as required by the Health Research Authority, Health Education England, and other national policy, regulatory bodies and research funders as required. They will be accountable for the efficient and effective use of research and innovation resources, budgets and funded/commissioned studies/projects, supporting the provision of high quality evidence based N&M practice.

Role Overview:

I am looking for a Health & Safety Advisor, who has experience on a live construction site operating as the Health & Safety Advisor.

As the Safety, Health & Environment Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, delivery, and review of a variety of projects across the East Midlands.

Key tasks:

• Assist with the development, auditing and improvements
• Advise, assist and support in all areas of Health, Safety and Environmental to ensure all requirements are addressed across all departments
• Create and deliver internal workshops and toolbox talks to increase knowledge and promotion of essential HSE information
• Liaise, negotiate and influence with relevant partners both internally and externally
• Prepare reports and analysis from Safety and Environmental information and statistics

• At least 2 years within a site-based H&S role within construction
