The Patient Emergency Response and Resuscitation Team (PERRT) at University College Hospital comprises critical care outreach and resuscitation practitioners who provide a 24/7 service to critically ill and deteriorating patients, alongside delivery of robust training programmes, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives across the Trust.

The PERRT role is suitable for motivated individuals with strong leadership skills and extensive critical care [outreach] experience. The post-holder will be trained to assist the Pharmacy Clinical Trials Unit/Team in the accurate receipt, storage, dispensing and accountability of medicinal products (licensed or investigational) for clinical trial use across the 5 active sites within UCLH where studies are conducted. We are seeking a Sexual Health IDSVA to lead on supporting survivors and advocating for their safety and well-being. This role focuses on providing critical support to victims/survivors within sexual health services in Barnet, ensuring a holistic and survivor-centred approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the lead on sexual health for domestic and sexual abuse survivors in Barnet.
• Provide comprehensive support to survivors at all risk levels-standard, medium, and high-within a Sexual Health Clinic setting.
• Deliver risk assessments, safety planning, and intensive advocacy for survivors, ensuring their safety and well-being are prioritised.
• Co-locate within the Sexual Health Clinic, acting as a vital link between sexual health services and domestic abuse support.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high functioning, well respected team. The Rapid Access Service (RAS) is an ever evolving, fast paced, community service, comprising of three pathways; 'Urgent Community Response', 'Discharge to Assess', and 'Virtual Ward'. You will be working closely with members of an MDT to reduce hospital admissions, and support timely discharges from hospitals.

The caseload is highly varied and includes delirium, TLSO and C-Spine braces, frailty and falls. You will support junior staff in the management of these complex patient's, whilst also developing partnerships with GPs, LAS and acute hospitals to provide an urgent response and risk assessment for people in their own homes. Within this setting there is a key focus on being able to identify a deteriorating patient, and escalating appropriately when required. There may be many barriers to treatment in the community, requiring complex problem solving and working with other external agencies to enable to the best outcome for these people.

You will have the opportunity to work within the therapy 'Falls Urgent Response' pathway for non injured fallers in the community. This will comprise of using specialist equipment to assist patients off the floor, and completing thorough assessments to ensure the patient can remain at home.

This is a 7 day service consisting of varying shift patterns between 9am-10pm. Willing to discuss flexible working, and happy to arrange an informal visit.

As a member of the Rapid Access Service, you will be expected to be a skilled Occupational Therapist who is an excellent communicator, is flexible and able to adapt to the needs of both patient’s and service. It is essential you are skilled in complex holistic assessments (functional, environmental, cognitive) to ensure patients are safe to remain at home.

This is a challenging and highly rewarding role and will enable you to develop your skills in the holistic treatment within a variety of areas. These include knowledge of medications and their impact on function; being competent in taking observations and completing NEWS2 scores on patient’s, interpreting these scores and identifying and escalating when a patient is unwell; being exposed to an array of medical and long-term conditions in people over the age of 18; identifying the need for a GP or specialist review as part of diagnostics, and being competent in liaising directly with the appropriate specialist community teams to ensure seamless care.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the service it, flexibility and and quick decision making is key for success. Assessing and issuing emergency equipment and setting up emergency care within complex situations is crucial. As part of the holistic assessment and safe set-up, you will identify any further longer term needs, and make the relevant referrals to those services e.g. community neuro, rehab, or voluntary services.

As part of clinical development, you will have the opportunity to be upskilled in venepuncture to support clinical decision making around patients treatment and care. As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to be ‘Clinician of The Day’ (COD). This consists of screening all referrals for all pathways. This is a key leadership role in which the COD is required to challenge where necessary the appropriateness of referrals, and ensure all the relevant information is gained to ensure safety for all parties. The COD co-ordinates and oversees the therapists’ caseload on that given day, and allocates new referrals as they are discharged from hospital. This is a balancing skill in order to ensure the team have capacity and the discharge is well co-ordinated in line with the integrated discharge teams.
There is much scope for development of clinical skills within this role, and our team has a proud history of a high staff retention rate and have experience of developing and promoting therapists within the team.

The Rheumatology Research Team at University College London Hospital (UCLH) is expanding and are seeking two Band 5 Nurses to join the team. You will work with the team Consultant(s) colleagues to provide clinical leadership. You will attend handover meetings where the tasks of the day will be decided and work allocated. You will contribute to the assessments of both general adults and older adults when required. You will liaise with CAMHS psychiatrists as required when patients under 18 years old are conveyed to the service. You will cross cover with other medical colleagues for annual leave when required. You will maintain excellent records. You will provide informal support to junior medical colleagues. You will assist in ensuring an appropriate program of activity for any medical students attached to your team. You will liaise with clinical teams in the Trust and neighbouring boroughs to ensure the provision and continuity of ongoing care of patients as required. You will work with inpatient ward teams; community recovery, other general adult community mental health teams and local crisis teams ; care of the elderly community team colleagues and social services colleagues to ensure that appropriate follow-up care is organized for all patients who move on from the HBPOS following completion of their assessment. You will be Section 12(2) approved and will assess patients under the Mental Health Act, as required. Assessments are allocated to team members as appropriate and taking into consideration patient complexity/clinician experience etc as well as referral demand and staff resource on the day. This is all managed by the team manager. You may also be expected to attend (in rotation) the monthly Acute Division senior Liaison clinicians meeting to facilitate smooth relations between these services and the interface between HBPOS and the Emergency Department Mental Health Liaison Teams.

University College London Hospitals (UCLH) is looking for a Health Promotion Lead to join the NCL Targeted Lung Health Checks (TLHC) team in improving lung cancer outcomes for the population of North Central London. The NCL TLHC programme has been running since November 2022 and continues to grow in preparation for transition to a lung cancer screening programme.
Reporting into the TLHC Operational Manager, the postholder will work with the TLHC team, NCL Cancer Alliance and other local stakeholders across NCL to improve participation in the programme particularly amongst communities with lower uptake. To succeed in this role, you will have experience of delivering health promotion initiatives with a particular focus on addressing inequalities. You will be organised, proactive and motivated to achieve the best outcomes for our population. You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a practical mindset. The ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders is essential. The role is suitable for someone with a background in health promotion, public health or cancer services.



• The post holder will be responsible for directing the health promotion activities of the TLHC programme across NCL. This includes developing and delivering activities to improve participation within the programme, alongside reducing health inequalities in the eligible population.
• The postholder will support work to identify inequalities and interventions that can improve access and reduce inequalities for the target population. The role will focus on the NCL areas of Barnet, Enfield, Haringey, Camden, and Islington. Targeting lower uptake areas and population groups, ensuring up to date data is available and working with a range of stakeholders across the system.
• The post holder will be responsible for developing and ensuring delivery of the TLHC programme health promotion strategy via a mixture of outreach, training/awareness, stakeholder engagement, effective health promotion and raising health awareness to the eligible population. In many forums the postholder will be representing the mission of overcoming barriers to screening uptake in our population making specific reference to lung cancer campaigns.
• The postholder will utilise professional public health skills in the management, supervision, and delivery of the health promotion program. Coordinating activities as necessary to promote the programme to the eligible population, to help meet the objectives.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated registrar level doctor with experience in diabetes & endocrinology to join our team for a 2 year period. The applicant will have excellent communication, team and clinical skills to join the Diabetes & Endocrinology Team.

This post is a Specialist Registrar level and the post holder will work closely with the Consultants, Specialist Registrars, Nurses and other multidisciplinary team members. In addition the successful applicant will play an important role in the delivery of effective care and management of outpatients and inpatients with endocrine disorders.
