MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To be professionally and legally accountable for all work undertaken. To independently assess bereavement needs for informal carers and give advice, support and make appropriate referrals independently to improve the bereavement outcome. To work autonomously in isolated community care settings that vary in relation to local socio economic and multi-cultural issues. An exciting opportunity is open for a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team as the Band 7 Team Lead Occupational Therapist for our Medicine team. This is a full-time, permanent role.

The team are responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients admitted under Care of the Elderly, Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease and Respiratory Medicine. The post holder will carry a varied caseload of patients whilst also supporting and developing other members of the therapy team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and highly motivated Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse to join T13 Oncology at University College London Hospitals. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm in caring for patients. This post would include supervision of junior members of the team, coordinating the ward on shift, and providing support to enable junior members of the team to develop.

At UCLH we provide highly specialised cancer care for oncology patients with a wide range of solid tumours, we are one of two cancer centres in London offering specialised care to sarcoma patients. T13 Oncology is an acute 44-bed ward. As a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse, you would be working alongside a supportive and committed multi-disciplinary team.

Excellent communication skills, a friendly approachable nature and an ability to manage your own workload are required. Previous Oncology experience including chemotherapy is essential, additional training and support will also be provided.

Research Nurse - Lymphoma and Myeloproliferative Neoplams Trials Team

The Research Nurse is an autonomous specialist working within the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will take responsibility for the co-ordination and management of a clinical research portfolio comprising of in-house, national and international phase II and III clinical trials in lymphoma and myeloproliferative haematology malignancies.

Responsibilities will include education of patients and colleagues, coordination of care of patients on trials, collection and preparation of biological samples, collection of trial data and monitoring of the expected and unexpected side effects of drugs and other treatment modalities.

The post holder will be expected to develop specialized skills and knowledge relating to the conduct of clinical trials, the therapies and the relevant disease sites. The post holder will be expected to have sufficient skills to enable patients to make informed choices concerning their involvement in clinical trials by providing advice and information and acting as the patient’s advocate.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated nurse with experience in cardiology, to apply for the position of cardio-oncology clinical nurse specialist. This post adds to the current complement of clinical nurse specialists within the wider cardiology team at UCLH.



The role involves working closely with the cardio-oncology multi-disciplinary team to treat and support adults with cancer who have or are at risk of cardiovascular complications. After a period of supervision and support, the CNS will be expected to review patients on the wards, formulate clinical management plans, recommend, and coordinate cardiac investigations and arrange appropriate follow up.

The CNS will also run outpatient clinics alongside a consultant and registrar.

The post holder will act independently/autonomously within the cardio-oncology team to manage a caseload being guided by best practice, trust policies and national/European guidelines.
Flexibility across the cardiology specialism will be required to support services and provide cross cover.

The cardio-oncology CNS will have the opportunity to learn from oncology/haematology teams about novel cancer therapies.

This post requires a five-day week commitment (37.5hr) without night, weekend or bank holiday working.

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a band 6 Respiratory Nurse Specialist to join our team. Some experience in a respiratory environment is essential (inpatient or outpatient).





The role will primarily involve the care of COPD, Asthma and Interstitial Lung disease (ILD) patients on a rotational basis. It will also involve supporting the Non-Invasive ventilation service, and the home oxygen service. The work will be located in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

There will be close liaison with community teams. There may also be research opportunities within the role. The right applicant will require teaching skills, a willingness to be involved in service development and excellent communication skills.
