Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust Major Trauma Centre is one of four in London, dedicated to improving outcomes for trauma patients in London. We are looking to recruit an innovative and highly specialised Band 7 Occupational Therapist, with previous experience working in the areas of trauma, orthopaedic, vascular surgery, plastic and general surgery. You would work within a team, comprising of qualified and assistant therapy staff, providing intervention to patients experiencing a wide range of conditions, whose needs are often challenging and complex.

The post holder will work with major trauma, orthopaedic and amputee patients who have sustained complex injuries and support them on their rehabilitation journeys. You will provide holistic occupational therapy assessment and treatment to patients with complex injuries due to major trauma. You will work closely with the MDT to optimise patient’s recovery to facilitate discharge home, or refer on to other community rehabilitation services.

The successful applicant will have the opportunities to develop their leadership, management and QI skills, whilst being responsible for overseeing the day-to-day workload, supervision and appraisal of junior staff. The day unit primarily specialises in metabolic and endocrine testing, however it also takes referrals for day cases from other specialties. The clinics house pituitary, growth hormone clinics, thyroid patient care, osteoporosis care and all manner of diabetic care such as foot care, sexual health and infectious diseases, retinal screening and a young persons clinics.

This position requires a person with strong organizational skills, flexibility and good interpersonal skills. It is expected you will support and train other team members. You will be supported to do this.

You will be responsible for key areas and act as a link nurse for the unit in areas such as infection control, tissue viability and diabetes. You will participate in the units’ rolling education programme for staff and patients alike.

You will demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adapt to a wide variety of issues or problems that patient present with. You must be able to demonstrate leadership qualities and to act as a role model for more junior staff within the team. The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision is a must.

A minimum of 18 months post registration is required at ward level or a day facility.

Cannulation and phlebotomy skills are highly desirable. Ongoing evidence of professional development must be demonstrated. It is expected you will have an interest of the endocrine specialty. Further nursing career development is actively encouraged.

This post is to work autonomously with service users and their families, holding a caseload for approximately 18-20 clients (pro rata). Applications are invited for a Substantive Hepatology Consultant at Royal London Hospital. The post holder will join a team of eleven consultant Hepatologist in a cohesive department which strives to provide excellent patient care in a large teaching Hospital in East London.
The post holder will work alongside the established hepatology team to support provision of inpatient and outpatient care for patients with general hepatology problems. There is an expectation that the post-holder will lead the clinical service in an area of interest which may include metabolic liver disease. The post holder will undertake teaching duties of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff and other professional groups (such as nursing and pharmacy). He/she will also assist in local research projects.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Heart Failure Specialist Nurse to join a supportive and inclusive team who want the best for our patients and each other.

Working within the inpatient heart failure team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital including cross site working at West Middlesex Hospital.

The post holder should have expertise in cardiac care provision with a specific interest in Heart Failure. The post holder should have an extensive experience of cardiology and the ability to work autonomously.

As an autonomous practitioner the post holder will be required to manage their own caseloads including nurse-led clinics, telephone consultations and heart failure programmes with support from the lead Heart Failure Nurse. They will also provide support, management and education to cardiac in-patients within the Trust.

The post holder will be actively involved in the development of the heart failure services both internally and externally. This will include developing digital initiatives including Virtual wards, undertake audits, quality improvement activities and participate in the strategic development of the service.

This allies with the direction of travel within the NHS for smarter ways of working.

The Heart Failure Specialist Nurse provides expertise in all aspects of cardiac care provision with a specific interest in Heart Failure. The post holder will be an experienced practitioner with experience of cardiology and will develop the ability to work autonomously

They will assist in undertaking regular audits, quality improvement activities and participate in the strategic development of the service. An opportunity has arisen for a fixed term contract Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the North Kensington and Chelsea Community Mental Health Hub. The post is from the starting date until November 2025. The team is located in W9 close to Westbourne Park station, with great transport links and serving the diverse community of North Kensington. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with motivation and enthusiasm for working in a community mental health role.

The post holder will be a valued member of the team and will offer Occupational Therapy assessments and intervention for clients as well as supporting the overall work of the team by providing a named worker role for some clients and supporting the overall work of the team.

The team consists of medical staff, nurses, social workers, peer support workers, community navigators, arts therapies, employment specialists and psychology staff. There are two other Occupational Therapists in the team and the post holder will have opportunity to co-facilitate groups as a part of the psychosocial offer for the hub.

Although the post is fixed term, we will support the post holder in seeking a permanent position within CNWL when the fixed term period ends.

• To work as a Senior Occupational Therapist in the Adult Community Mental Health hub, providing a high quality service to clients.
• To provide OT assessments and intervention for clients under the care of the team.
• To provide functional assessments and home assessments for prescribing adapted equipment, making recommendations and for accommodation needs.
