• You will serve as PHYSICAL THERAPIST in the STRIKE PROGRAM, EDO GROUP TWO, Little Creek Amphibious Base, Virginia.
• You will serve as the STRIKE Sports Medicine expert and clinical provider
• You will provide evaluation and therapeutic interventions to a full range of wounded, ill, and injured service members

• The Community Care (CC) Coordinator Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for executing a streamlined approach to receiving, triaging, and directing timely, coordinated care.
• Incumbent demonstrates proficient practice and decision-making, deliberate planning, and critical thinking skills.
• The Incumbent possesses intimate knowledge of the internal referral care process, clinical review criteria, utilization management standards, clinical documentation requirements, community care regulations, and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) standards and guidelines.
• The Incumbent uses nursing knowledge and systems theory to assess, organize, facilitate, and guide Veterans through their full range of care options including internal/direct care in Veterans Affairs (VA) and care in the community.
• The Incumbent serves as a liaison to both internal and community providers and is responsible for managing the care of the Veteran throughout the consult process.
• The Incumbent supports the medical center's mission to improve timely access to care, ensure Veterans who want to receive care in the community are referred and scheduled into the community, and support the delivery of high quality, timely care to the Veteran receiving community services.
• The Incumbent will work collaboratively within the Office of Integrated Veteran Care (IVC) to triage Request for Services (RFS) to coordinate care processes defined by the IVC Field Guidebook to include developing a care coordination plan, reviewing medical documentation from community providers, communication of care coordination needs, and supporting the Veteran through the completion of the episode of care.
• The Incumbent will influence care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team both within the Veterans Affairs (VA) and in the community.
• The Incumbent will comply with VA-mandated processes and use of health information solutions that serve to assess, document, exchange, and track care coordination information.
• The Incumbent ill utilize delegation of authority, if applicable, to function at their highest level of role performance and align high-quality care with key performance indicators to ensure practice standards meet patient care needs. Fosters a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of healthcare professionals.

Duties:

• Responsible to start, operate, adjust, stop, maintain, and perform various operational repairs on multiple fuel boilers, medical waste disposal systems, valves (gate, globe, and needle), water pumps, bearings, fuel pumps, motors, Variable Frequency Drives(VFD), air compressors, regulators, temperature gauges, pressure gauges, steam traps, sight glasses, motorized draft fans, steam traps, dampers, deaerator tank, condensate tank, controls (digital, analog, and pneumatic), water conditioning equipment, chemical conditioning equipment, sensors and pollution control equipment.
• Uses electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic controls, and zone charts in conjunction with meters, gauges, and computer-generated data to determine adjustments or corrections necessary for proper boiler operations or changing load requirements.
• Regularly observe and note readings on gauges, meters, detectors, recorders, boiler water level indicators, and computer generated and analog displays to detect danger signals in operations.
• Tests and analyzes the feedwater, boiler water, and condensate using standard chemical tests.
• Receives calls, determines responsibility, and dispatches appropriate personnel for service calls for after normal working hours.
• Keep the MSDS paperwork updated with the newest version.
• Monitors the operation of chillers, air handlers, pumps, cooling towers, computer rooms, refrigeration equipment, and alarms to assure proper pressures and temperatures are maintained in the facility.
• Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the boiler plant, tool room, office, and medical waste room.
• Monitors environmental conditions in the HCS using the EMS via use of Insight (host) and network to view, interpret, and acknowledge alarm messages.
• Coordinates with the VA police and local fire departments to ensure timely response to fires and other emergencies.
