As an MRI/CT Radiographer, you will:

• Ability to complete person centred and proportionate OT assessments
• Familiarity with moving and handling equipment such as hoists and stand aids

This autonomous role within skin cancer services provides support/key worker status to skin cancer patients and their families/carers from diagnosis and throughout their pathway. With the support of the MDT, the post holder will endeavor to provide a patient focused service, offering holistic assessment, specialist support and information and provide psychological support as necessary. The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) will be responsible for the development of innovative nursing practice and the provision of specialist advice within their field. They will be an educational resource to all members of the MDT and the wider Trust, and facilitate the development of nurses and healthcare staff in order to improve the patient experience.

The UK National External Quality Assessment Schemes (NEQAS) for Trace Elements and for Peptide Hormones are organised within the Department of Clinical Biochemistry. The postholder is responsible for the planning, preparation and distribution of the NEQAS test samples which are provided by Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services. The role is divided to approximately 60% laboratory work and 40% associated administrative tasks. The postholder is expected to work independently and without direct supervision.
