Our Nuffy Bear Day Nursery is seeking a Nursery Nurse/Early Years Nursery Practitioner to be based at in our Nuffield Health gym at Gloucester.

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be part of a team who offer full day care, sessional care plus a Pre-School for children aged from 3 months to 5 years.

To work as part of a psychiatric liaison team providing a core mental health liaison and assessment service providing clinical cover 09:00-17:00 to the Paediatric Department on a 7 day per week basis
To support the service in developing and delivering a liaison service, from age 11-15

Job Description

Offer an assessment service to patients presenting at the emergency and paediatric departments with broad range of mental health and psychological problems, and psychiatric illnesses
Providing a mental health consultation, liaison and advice service throughout the departments
Delivering a range of evidence based psychological interventions to individual patients aged 11-15 who have predominantly self-harmed
Assisting and supporting general hospital colleagues in making decisions about treatment and care in complex situations
Providing formal and informal education and clinical supervision to registered and unregistered staff
Representing mental health services within Hospitals Trust
Providing a communication structure between secondary mental health services, primary care and non-statutory services, as a means of ensuring the highest possible standards patients care

Job Purpose Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care needs of a specific group of service users requiring enhanced care. As a band 6 Tissue Viability Nurse you will be responsible for the delivery of a high standard of care as part of the Tissue Viability Team, in support of and under the supervision of the lead nurse in the team. You will have a passion for tissue viability and we will help you develop your knowledge in the planning and evaluation of wound care. You will be supported in the planning, delivering and evaluation of education around tissue viability. Although you will at all times act as directed by the lead nurse in the Tissue Viability Team, you will be competent to work without direct supervision, and will undertake a range of delegated duties within a frame work that has been agreed by the lead nurse.
