The role involves providing a specialist family therapy service to children and young people with mental health and behavioural problems across all sectors of care as part of a multidisciplinary CAMHS service. The post holder will provide generic CAMHS assessment and intervention as well as providing specialist family therapy interventions and contribute to support plans for the care of children and young people including those with learning disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and looked after children. The post holder will provide specialist assessment and therapy to children, young people and their families/carers. In addition to this the post holder will provide advice and consultation regarding the care of children and young people to non-family therapy colleagues as well as the professional network involved in their support. The role will involve individual work, joint work, group work, as well as regular duty /triage assessments. Key Responsibilities: 1. Clinical: Provide assessments of children and young people referred to the team. To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual children and young people and to provide advice to other professions on risk assessment and risk management. To operate as CPA care coordinator for a caseload of mental health service users with complex and diverse needs. To undertake comprehensive needs assessments, developing and reviewing care plans and community care packages in line with agreed health and social care eligibility criteria. To manage and ensure the provision of appropriate medical and psychosocial interventions to a caseload of service users who experience mental health problems. To effectively meet the needs of the client group and their carers in line with agreed NHS and Trust competencies and targets. To ensure that the care offered is evidence based and in line with NICE guidelines. To ensure information systems and client records are effectively maintained in accordance with the Trusts policy. To input data concerning clinical activity as required ensuring that entries are accurate and timely. Specific Responsibilities1. Service Director – Forensic Mental Health & Offender Healthcare

Due to the retirement of the current service director next April, a fantastic opportunity has arisen to lead our Forensic and Offender Healthcare Services Directorate. The post holder will be responsible for the safe delivery of highly effective mental and physical health services for these service user groups. You will be responsible for a budget of £104 million and 1210 staff, including nursing, medical, psychological therapies, allied health professionals and staff in management and support roles, as well as being responsible for a number of sub-contracts.
