Surgical specialties division are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual as a Medical Staffing Co-ordinator on a full-time, 12 months fixed-term basis (covering maternity leave).
You will work alongside our operational team to provide support with rota planning, locum usage, annual, study and sick leave for the medical workforce, reporting to the medical staffing manager for surgical specialties division. You will also provide our junior doctors with local support and be a central point of contact.
The role requires excellent attention to detail, communication skills, a strong focus on engagement with staff at all levels as well as the ability to use your initiative and manage your workload, in order to combat rapidly changing priorities. You should also have the ability to work with and improve existing information systems and databases.
• This post supports the Medical Staffing Manager in relation to day-to-day medical staffing queries and administrative processes. This post is based within the surgical specialties Division and will support the junior medical staffing workload within the Division of Surgical Specialties.
• The post holder will oversee the day-to-day management of annual/study/sick leave and rotas to ensure continuous operational cover across all grades of medical staff whilst ensuring compliance with the Working Time Directive.
• To act as the main point of contact for all medical staffing enquiries in the Division, including leave, sickness and HR issues
