RHA is Looking for an IDD Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to Join our Team!!!!

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Observe, assist with gathering health related data, and report the health needs or the people we support to the registered nurse
• Coordinate preventative and routine medical care for people supported
• Document nursing care provided
• Assist physicians with on-site medical clinics where applicable
• Provide health related trainings to unlicensed personnel according to state regulations
• Conduct medication pass observations in the home to ensure staff competency according to state regulations
• Conduct medication closest assessments
• Perform quality assurance checks and observations to ensure unlicensed personnel are performing health related tasks as assigned according to state regulations
• Observe for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physician
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team
• Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supported

Job Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program
• Current LPN license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
• Current CPR Certification or eligibility to certify for CPR
• Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families
• Must be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks

Physical requirements include: ability to regularly lift 20 pounds. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Must be able to pull a minimum of 25 pounds. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Must be able to communicate.

Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Provide therapy to clients while maintaining good clinical judgement.          

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry a full caseload
• Documentation
• Care plans reviewed and updated.
• Progress notes completed within current agency guidelines.
• Responds to supervisory request for urgent care situations and coverage for vacant caseloads.  This includes telephones and face to face intervention.
• Keeps administrative supervisor informed of all potential issues that could impact the program or the organization.         
• Responds to needs of consumers in a timely and professional manner.
• Demonstrates good clinical judgment in decision making regarding consumers.  
• Attend weekly supervision and treatment team meetings             

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to successfully utilize computer/electronic equipment and software.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level              

• This position requires a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Mental Health, or related field.
  • Other Master’s level degrees may be considered to provide psychotherapy services based on a review of transcripts.
  • For master’s degrees other than Counseling, Social Work or Psychology, successful applicants must have passed a minimum of 24 graduate level semester hours in psychology, social work, counseling or other behavioral health related classes.

Sonographer - Cardiac and Vascular Position Highlights:           

The Nebraska Medicine Cardiovascular Imaging team is devoted to diagnosing, treating, and managing the circulatory system disease with the most advanced medical equipment, procedures, and nationally recognized expertise. As the regional leader, we use a collaborative approach to care bringing together experienced specialists from cardiology, interventional radiology, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, and cardiothoracic surgery who have one goal in mind: treating and healing patients.

Duties:

As a Sonographer - Cardiac and Vascular at Nebraska Medicine, you will perform basic cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures and acquire appropriate echocardiographic and/or vascular data to provide the highest quality of care for the organization's patients and medical staff.

Sonographer - Cardiac and Vascular Required Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree OR equivalent combination of education/experience from an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound program performing all types of cardiovascular ultrasound in a health care environment combined (One year of education equals one year of experience) required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently to accomplish tasks that require self-direction required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).

• Registered in Vascular Technologist (RVT) and Registered Cardiac Ultrasound Tech (RDCS) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) OR registered in vascular and cardiac ultrasound as Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) and Registered Cardiac Specialist (RCS) with the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within one year of transfer or hire required.

Sonographer - Cardiac and Vascular Preferred Qualifications: 

• Associate's degree from an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound program performing all types of cardiovascular ultrasound in a health care environment preferred.
• Demonstrate ability to think deductively and make clinical decisions accordingly preferred.
• Experience with typical office equipment (e.g., telephone, fax machine, copy machine, calculator) preferred.
• Experience with ultrasound equipment, transducers, research computer systems, EPIC hospital information system, and digital echo-vascular storage system preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of principles and function of the cardiovascular system and vascular circulatory system, including physics and blood flow hemodynamics preferred.
