Job Summary

The Medical Director is responsible to provide clinical and technical oversight for the safe and ethical provision of clinical laboratory services. The individual will play a key role in ensuring clinical tests are performed and reported promptly. The individual will also play a role in the development and execution of clinical development strategy. The individual is expected to bring a strong medical and scientific foundation and will work closely with laboratory developed test (LDT) and in vitro diagnostic (IVD) test development teams to define the most effective approach in LDT, IVD and companion diagnostic (CDx).

Essential Services and Responsibilities

• Be the license holder for M Diagnostics in accordance with the PHMC regulations.
• Delegate the responsibilities of the general supervisor, clinical consultant, quality systems manager and testing personnel to employees who are qualified to perform such tasks.
• Responsible for providing pathology expertise for on-site or remote histological review. Examine clinical formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections, provide histological inputs and identify the region of interest (where the tumor sits) from haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining.

· Identify key opinion leaders (KOL) to support clinical marketing efforts

· Identify and execute suitable clinical plans that accentuate the clinical strength of the company’s product

Market expansion

· Identify and evaluate new market opportunities including geographic expansion

· Provide leadership in the commercialization efforts of the company’s product, including development and execution of entry strategies for new markets to ensure successful market penetration and growth

· Implement and execute plans that includes sourcing for distribution partners and identifying suitable channels to market the product

Financial Management

· Oversee the financial management of the company

· Work with the finance team to seek revenue forecast and budget

· Monitor financial performance against forecasts and execute corrective actions as needed for cost management of top-line and bottom line

· Work with lead director in the fundraise to support the company’s financial resources

Qualifications and experience

· Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably in electrical or mechanical engineering

· Minimum 8 years in management role and proven ability demonstrated to manage P&L business

· Prior knowledge or experience working in medical device industry, particularly relating to hospital beds development will be an advantage

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated leader to join our dynamic research team focusing on the development of Antibody-X Conjugate (AXC) therapies to revolutionise cancer treatments. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the direction, planning and execution of our clinical development programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides expert medical and scientific guidance to strategically plan and execute IND filings and early-stage clinical trials.
• Performs medical oversight of clinical trials, drafts protocols and informed consent documents, and addresses queries from regulatory bodies, IRBs, and ethics committees. Reviews clinical data and ensures accuracy for final clinical study reports.
• Monitors safety throughout trials, ensures adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements (GCP/ICH), and supports development of investigator brochures.
• Leads the design, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of scientific content for protocols, Investigator Brochures, Clinical Study Reports, regulatory submissions, and study-related documents.
• Supervises clinical research operations conducted by CRO partners.
• Maintains current knowledge of industry advancements and therapeutic areas through conferences, literature, and training.
• Collaborates closely with stakeholders to align product development plans and strategies strategically.

Qualifications:

• M.D. or equivalent with a minimum 3 years of experience is required
• Experience in clinical oncology will be preferred
• Demonstrated experience in global clinical trials, with specific experience in the US region
• Proven track record of effectively managing Phase 1 and/or 2 Oncology clinical trials.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership in leading cross-functional project teams
• Effective management and leadership skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic biotech startup environment
