The Business Assurance (BA) Department are looking for a Health and Safety Support Manager to join our Health and Safety Team. To apply you must be within easy reach of travelling to Heathrow (LHR) airport and associated sites. On occasions you may be asked to attend other sites. You will report jointly to the BA Dept. and LHR Management team.
You will assist the H&S Management Team to co-ordinate, support and advise the Business on aspects with regards to Health and Safety. You will assist the team to establish, manage, and monitor standards, processes, communications, training, and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety are adhered to.
You will work alongside Safety Champions and H&S Reps to ensure legislative, internal, and client compliance.
To become a successful member of the Business Assurance team you will need to be flexible and adaptable, have excellent communication skills are essential and with an assertive but calm demeanour. You should be self-motivated and most definitely a team player. Working very closely with ICTS LHR Management and workforce.
- Reporting to the H&S Management team
- Full time Mon-Fri. Hours of work could be down to the operational needs on the sites.
- Salary - Starting rate of £36,500 rising to £39,000 after 1 yr., plus car allowance of £5,280 per annum.
- If you do not already hold the General NEBOSH certificate. The successful applicant will need to successfully pass the NEBOSH qualification within the specified probationary period.
Role & responsibilities:
In coordination with the H&S Management -
- Daily monitoring of the operation within your area.
- Liaison with onsite Management team, and the ICTS H&S Dept
- Ensure all employees within the region hold correct H&S training with appropriate records.
- Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered.
- Completion and regular review of risk assessments, and other H&S requirements.
- Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated, and recommended improvements implemented.
- Ensure that safety inspections are carried out.
- To drive a positive H&S culture fostering our ongoing safety champions and behavioural safety program.
- Liaise with clients / contracts under the supervision of H&S Management
- Full interaction with all ICTS systems
- Gathering, analysing, and reporting on key H&S data/statistics
- Other duties as required.
Person Specification
- Nebosh qualified or working towards the qualification.
- Must have experience of working in a H&S position, with a genuine interest in H&S.
- Professional approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent IT skills, using all platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full driving license
- Own transportation is essential.
- Neat and tidy appearance.
- Resided in UK for 3+ years.
