We are looking for 2 x Band 6 Occupational Therapists to join our Stroke Service and Neurotherapy team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.

· One post will be static within the Stroke Unit at RBH, covering the Hyper Acute and Recovery unit.

· One post will be static within our Early Supported Discharge Team offering intensive, specialist rehabilitation to stroke and neuro patients within their own homes.

The successful applicants will be required to provide neurological skilled Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment to clients with complex neurological problems, including assessment, neuro specialist rehabilitation, discharge planning and appropriate onward referral. We are looking for 2 innovative Occupational Therapists who are keen to develop their skills at a senior level, who can demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to implement evidence-based practice.

This role requires HCPC Registration.

The team is an integrated Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy team. Work within these posts provides an ideal opportunity to develop skills in stroke and neuro assessment and early rehabilitation, supervision of junior staff/students and positive influence on patient care and service development.

The post holders will be supported by experienced Band 7 therapists across the pathway.

The skills/experience required for this post are as follows:
• Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
• Post-graduate experience of working with adults with neurological impairments

• Car owner/driver

We are looking for an innovative Occupational Therapist who is keen to develop their skills at a senior level, who can demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to implement evidence-based practice.

Base Location: Royal Bournemouth, Poole Hospital, Alderney Hospital Please note you may be required to work across site.

The team is an integrated Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy team. Work within this post provides an ideal opportunity to develop skills in stroke and neuro assessment and early rehabilitation, supervision of junior staff/students and positive influence on patient care and service development.

The post holder will be supported by experienced Band 7 therapists across the pathway.

The skills/experience required for this post are as follows:
• Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
• Post-graduate experience of working with adults with neurological impairments
• Involvement in supervision and/or appraisal of junior staff
• Car owner/driver

Participation in a 1 in 6 weekend working roster and 1 x week late shifts are integral to this role.
