To be an active part of the Pharmacy Homecare team providing financial and administrative services to the department. To assist and support the pharmacy homecare clerks with invoice reconciliation of Homecare invoices. To ensure that all invoices and credits are consistent with goods received or returned on the pharmacy computer system and resolve discrepancies when appropriate with regards to contract prices. Utilising pharmacy computer system effectively to pass invoices and find historical information. To open mail and match invoices and credit notes to relevant purchase orders/prescriptions. To ensure that homecare documentation is filed correctly and is kept up-to-date and accurately to allow swift and easy retrieval of records. To liaise with the Homecare technical team regarding discrepancies with invoices such as quantities received and value charged. To alert the Homecare Technical team of discrepancies between expected price and actual price. Record information accurately for audit purposes. Address supplier and customer queries by telephone and electronically, with good communication and interpersonal skills. Dispensary To provide daily support to the dispensary workforce. To use the pharmacy computer system to produce dispensing labels and to make stock issues, receipt, and transfers. To assist the Stock Management Team with unpacking deliveries and filling the automated dispensing system. To participate in conducting of regular Controlled Drug stock checks alongside a Registered Technician. To be responsible for putting away dispensing stock including part packs and maintaining tidy storage areas. To participate in extemporaneous dispensing e.g. preparing creams, ointments and liquid preparations. Maintaining equipment used in the dispensing process. The dispensary team is a team of over 20 staff ranging from band 2 Assistants through to band 7 Technicians. Many of our staff progress from this level to become Pharmacy Technicians or take other roles within the wider Pharmacy team and this role is ideal for gaining that experience to potentially progress further in your career. You will have 2 weeks induction period. The first week your shift will start at 9-5. This period will give you the opportunity to read policies, ask questions, attend MDT handover/meet the team, attend Clinical Team Meeting which is our ward round, held on a Monday and CPAs on a Wednesday. You will also be expected to bring in your Local Induction Pack, Newcomers Guide and Dining room Competences (will have been sent to you prior to commencing new job), there are some areas that staff will need to go through with you and get you signed off. Apart from medication, our first line of treatment is food. In your second week you will start shadowing different staff, have your dining room competences signed off, also have the feel of the ward; how it runs. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and proactive pharmacy assistant with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills to join the cancer pharmacy team at the Churchill.

This post would suit somebody with either a hospital pharmacy background, or with community pharmacy experience wishing to make a change into the hospital environment, for which appropriate training will be provided. You must have successfully achieved the relevant units of pharmacy services skills NVQ level 2 (QCF) or an equivalent GPhC accredited training programme. • You should ideally have experience of working as a qualified Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant, using computer systems for dispensing and stock control and have good communication, be well organised and able to use your own initiative.

General role
1. To provide training, including induction, to pharmacy support staff as required
2. To undertake in-house and/or external training appropriate for the role
3. To complete reports and audits as requested
4. To participate in a programme of work-based training, development, and appraisal.
5. To ensure confidentiality is always maintained.
6. To maintain a tidy and clean working environment.
7. To participate in early and late duties, evening, weekend, and bank holiday working according to the departmental rotas.

The health advisor assistant practitioner belong to a small, friendly team and work closely with other disciplines in the department.


• Carry out partner notification, to ensure the attendance and treatment of• Complete and carry out Partner notification audit for data reporting for KPI’s
• Verification and Completion of Partner notification cases.
• Carrying provider referrals


• Recall patients allocated to HA recall lists this including but not exclusive:• diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections for
• Follow ups and test of cure.
• Syphilis recall follow up bloods.
• Arranging 3/12 reminder for repeating testing following positive Sexually transmitted infections for under 25, and vulnerable patients


• Liaise with other health care professionals both within the department and


• Undertake projects and training as negotiated with the senior health


• Provide basic education to patients regarding Sexually transmitted infections including checking for compliance of treatment.
