We have a fantastic opportunity for a full time band 5 Sexual Health Nurse to join our team in our level 3 ALL EAST sexual health service, providing integrated sexual health. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic nurse who wish to pursue an exciting career in sexual and reproductive healthcare.

The post will be primarily based at the Ambrose King Centre at the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel.

Main duties of the job

The Sexual Health Nurse post will provide training to enable the successful candidate to provide care for patients with sexual health and contraceptive needs, delivering treatments and vaccinations that have been prescribed or through the use of Patient Group Directions (PGDs). This will include the provision of HIV Pre Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and subdermal implant contraception. Training will also be provided in microscopy.

The post holder will also provide chaperoning, support and assistance for patients undergoing examination, treatments and procedures by Doctors and Nurse practitioners.

Haringey CAMHS are looking to recruit CWPs to continue to improve children and young people’s mental health services in Haringey. The training forms part of the service transformation initiative delivered by NHS England as part of the Children and Young People’s Psychological Trainings (CYP-PT) programme.

This is a training position post holder will undertake training at Kings College London alongside working in service for Haringey CAMHS. They will be taught to deliver evidence based guided self-help interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. The post holder will use their newly developed skills to support children and young people who are referred into the service and trainees will receive supervision to support their professional development.

Applicants will need to be ready to start work in early/mid-January 2025 and posts cannot be offered to candidates unless they can guarantee this start date.

The successful student must be able to prioritize their own workload and demonstrate flexibility within time constraints. As a pre-registration Pharmacy Technician you will work towards attaining a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians. Successful completion of both courses will enable you to register as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), paving the way for a fulfilling and rewarding career.
We expect candidates to have strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills and a commitment to study. Previous hospital Pharmacy experience and an NVQ/QCF level 2 in Pharmacy would be desirable but are not prerequisites of the post.



You must be able to provide evidence of GCSE grades A-C (4-9) in Maths, English and Science or Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English with a GCSE in Science.
