Health and Safety provide specialist advice, guidance, information and training on all aspects of health and safety across the Council.
Based within the Corporate Safety team responsibilities will include workplace visits, inspections, audits, investigation of incidents, analysis of information and provision of reports to services, procedural reviews, support of construction works, identification of training needs and the development and delivery of training courses to assist the Council in meeting required policy standards and statutory obligations.
The postholder should hold a recognised health and safety qualification such as the NEBOSH Health and Safety Diploma, or equivalent, and be able to demonstrate professional knowledge of health and safety legislation, codes of practice and guidance and skills and competence gained through previous experience.
