The Role: What you will do?

This will include:

We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist with minimum of 4- years post qualification experience in paediatricswith an interest in complex physical disability; including Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, ABI, spinal injuries and children or young people with multiple needs including developmental delay and sensory processing difficulties.

The Integrated Care Team includes Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Integrated Therapy Assistants and Apprentices. The team provide therapy interventions into a range of special schools and in the community including clinic and home-visits.

The past year has seen the opening of a specialist centre for childrenwith complex physical disability and associated medical needs requiring on site therapies in Eastbourne and long -term investment into schools in East Sussex.

The service has also expanded to meet the needs of children with SEMH andcontinues to evolve in response to the changing needs of children and young people living in East Sussex.

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative therapist with excellent organisational and leadership skills. Thesuccessful post-holder will work closely with B7 colleagues, Team Coordinator and Professional Lead OT to deliver high quality care with evidence-based practice, aspirational outcomes and child/parent engagement at the centre.

The post-holder will need to have knowledge of equipment prescription including seating and manual-handling. However, training is available for the right candidate including postural management training and upper-limb interventions including splinting and CPIPS. The ability to drive innovation and embrace change is essential to this role.

Role and Responsibilities


Visiting retailers and updating the stand
Moving parts around and resequencing stock according to a new planogram
Changing over the visuals
Maintaining the stand, keeping it looking fresh for customers that visit the store
Travelling to your depot in Newport NP19 for kit collection, which is paid time.
If you are happy traveling further away from home (over 80miles optional) accommodation bed and breakfast will be provide and paid for.


What will I get in return?


Training: Provided in full and you are paid
Work: Assignment basis, under own supervision



Travel: Regionally, 50 to 80 miles of your home
Location: Field Based – working in various high street retailers
Hours: 8 hr days
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour plus expenses (fuel/parking etc.)
Equipment: Uniform, Company van (for business use only), and PPE are all provided where applicable
Flexibility: Work when you are available on a variety of projects
