We are a Multi-Award winning Occupational Health Provider looking to source an experienced Occupational Health Technician to join the team in Gateshead. The role involves travel throughout the North East, with some travel further afield, dependent on the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drug and Alcohol testing.
• Fitness for work medicals.
• Health Assessments and Health Surveillance including audiometry and lung function testing.
• To ensure all medical information is accurately recorded in the occupational health records and passed to the relevant clinical staff.
• To ensure all equipment is serviceable, clean and fit for purpose.
Essential Skills:
• Experience working in Occupational Health.
• Sound educational background including a good standard of numeracy and written English.
• The ability to work autonomously with support from line management and others within the team.
• Possess solid IT skills.
• Be able to prioritise own workload and manage own time effectively, self-motivated and capable of working flexibly and to strict deadlines.
• Understand the requirement for patient confidentiality, ensuring all patients are treated with respect, dignity and privacy.
• Previous experience working in a clinical or fitness setting.
• Full UK Driving licence.
An interest or experience in mental health, addiction services, neurology, or pharmacology, would be beneficial to your application but not essential.

• Occupational Health Technician.
• Health Care Assistant.
• Ambulance.
• EMT.
• Military Medic.
• Offshore Medic Knowledge and experience of working in occupational health.
This is a full-time permanent job where the successful applicant will work 37.5 hours per week.
Benefits:
Up to £30,000 per annum plus benefits depending on experience.
28 Days Annual Leave plus bank holidays, Pension.
