Service Information

• This care home is situated in the picturesque village of Colwall, nestled on the western side of the Malvern Hills. Our client is a purpose built luxury care home, offering state of the art facilities with stunning architectural features throughout. Opening in Summer 2024, care home will be home to 60 residents.

• As a registered nurse, you are someone who looks after the well-being of people in their daily lives. You will help patients living with different physical disabilities and mental health needs to live their lives more independently and support them to reach their potential by providing both physical and emotional support.

Requirments

• The Role: As the Nurse in charge, you will be responsible for the delivery of all clinical elements of the care provision, supervising others and setting/maintaining clinical standards within the home. Working under the guidance and direction of the Clinical Lead, you will have a strong clinical focus, playing an active role in ensuring that the medication/nursing needs of each resident are delivered effectively. Supporting the home with the expected clinical/nursing standards, promoting a high level of individualised care, ensuring all statutory and regulatory standards are maintained.
• Monitor standards of care, ensuring all staff on your shift contribute to the best of their ability.
• Ensure resident needs are being met by interaction and observation on each shift
• Report and incidents/accidents, areas of concern to the Home Manager & Clinical Lead
• Shift times are predominantly 07.00 - 19.00 (days) or 19.00 - 07.00 (nights).

Person Specification

The successful applicant must have:

• GCSEs in certain subjects are preferred, such as Maths, English, or Health and Social care
• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Mental Health Nurse.
• Previous experience in community setting
• Fully enhanced DBS
• Car driver and valid UK license is preferred

Role

• Registered Mental Health Nurse Qualification.(RNMH & RNLD) or a student nurse nearing qualification
• On-going registration with the NMC
• Can demonstrate an understanding and knowledge base of mental health conditions and their treatments.
• Can demonstrate a working knowledge of physical health conditions and the complications that this can cause to patients experiencing mental ill health.
• Post Graduate experience or be a student nurse nearing qualification
• Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team structure.
• Experience of assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing care needs.
• Excellent communication, listening, decision making and problem solving skills.
• Developed clinical nursing skills with a clear ability to understand new concepts and ideas in clinical practice.

Neurology Specialist Nurse
Opportunity available for a Neurology Specialist Nurse to work within a Neurology, Based near Worcester

The team sits within the community hospital with the role predominately provide a nursing service to patients on discharge from hospital, including medication reviews, secondary prevention education, information and advice. You will receive excellent support from the wider team which comprises Neuro therapists. As part of this role you will have clinical responsibility for the care and management of patients and work closely with family and carers. You will also support the specialist nursing team to provide support and reviews. You may see patients in their own homes, in our outpatient clinic and/or at other appropriate settings to facilitate rehabilitation. You will be part of a dynamic MDT consisting of Specialist Therapists and Nursing. You will participate in delivering education and be involved in reviewing medication for patients at home and following hospital discharge. The whole team contributes to ongoing clinical development and improvement projects to ensure that we provide an excellent service for our patients. Continuing personal development is encouraged through training opportunities and an established supervision and appraisal structure.

This role is to commence ASAP and will be working full time - 37.5 Hours Per week

The hourly rate for his role is:

Monday to Friday 06:00 - 20:00: £26.00 Per Hour
Saturday/Nights: £30.00 Per Hour
Sunday/Bank Holiday: £34.00 Per Hour
