Title: Laboratory Health and Safety Manager

We are currently working with a global molecular diagnostics company who are looking to expand within their nationwide health and safety division. As the Laboratory Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for successfully raising awareness of the need for a safe working environment by working closely with laboratory owners and operators.
The main duties and responsibilities will include:
- You will successfully promote a culture of safety awareness across all of the company's sites nationwide.
- You will develop and maintain the health and safety management system including policies, procedures and regulations, including risk assessments and COSHH procedures.
- You will maintain and test continuity plans of the business.
- You will manage safety incident reports and investigations (for both onsite and field based colleagues), and implement both corrective and preventative actions .
What you need to demonstrate:
- We need you to have a degree in a relevant scientific subject.
- You will also need to possess at least 3 years of experience in a health and safety role.
- You will need to be IOSH-qualified and have experience supervising and leading others.
- Possessing the NEBOSH certificate is also highly desirable.
