We are recruiting for an experienced Health, Safety, Quality and Environment Manager on behalf of a company that offers a grounds maintenance, invasive species and winter gritting service to a varied client base across the South of England. On offer is a salary of up to £45,000 a year, company vehicle or allowance, bonus scheme, laptop, mobile, 21 days holiday plus bank holidays and the opportunity to join a well established and growing service provider. The Health & Safety Manager will lead the development, implementation and management of all related policies and procedures, providing guidance and direction in relation to Quality, Compliance, Health & Safety and Environment issues and initiatives as well as assisting with tender documents as well as setting and managing the policy for shared work drives.
The key responsibilities for the Health & Safety Manager will be:
Leading the development, implementation and management of all compliance related policies and procedures.
Developing, maintaining and managing compliance related policies and procedures.
Providing expert guidance and direction in relation to quality, compliance and Health & Safety issues.
Reviewing and updating RAMS, risk assessments and method statements.
Ensuring compliance for Health, Safety and Quality Audits.
Ensuring all accreditations are correctly recorded and kept up to date.
Reviewing, setting and managing the policy for a shared work drive including usage protocols.
Providing help and support to the office based and wider externally based teams.
Delivering Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Compliance training.
Maintaining existing ISO accreditations (ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 9001etc.,)
Liaising with external bodies to ensure the company remains compliant.
Assisting the Tender Teams with compliance and H&S.
To be considered as the Health & Safety Manager you will need:
A proven track record within Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Compliance and ideally from within a grounds maintenance, invasive species or landscape services company.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and the ability to be able to deal with an ever changing workload.
As a minimum a NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
The Hiring Company is open to applications from experienced Managers as well as from those who have worked as part of a team and are looking to take that step up to Manager level. Key for them is the need for someone to come in with an understanding of their sector, be able to review what they have in place, alter anything that is needed and bring everything up to date and to then manage that.
