Brook Street Social Care is Recruiting for a speech and Language Therapist to work in a Special School in Ottershaw. This is a Permanent contract, Full time (35 hours per week), 42 weeks per year (term time plus up to 3 weeks of work during school closure periods to be used flexibly throughout the year) with 10 weeks paid holiday. Part time applications will also be considered.

Our client is an Ofsted rated Outstanding Speech and Language school in Surrey. They are passionate about providing high standard integrated education, therapy and care to children who live with various learning disabilities.

The role entails:
. Being Based on-site (School)
. Assess, plan and deliver individualised intervention programmes for a defined caseload.
. Work with children individually or in small groups in specialist therapy spaces and within classroom based sessions to enable them to access the curriculum and promote meaningful engagement in school based tasks.
.Take part in training, CPD opportunities and outreach programmes.
. Work alongside Teachers, Therapists, Learning Support Assistants, Educational Psychologist and Residential Care Officers.

The ideal candidate will have the following:
. A minimum of 2 years' experience as a qualified SLT.
. Relevant experience in working with a paediatric caseload, ideally with severe and complex speech, language and communication needs
. Experienced in administering and analysing a range of formal and informal assessments
. Experienced in writing reports for parents/carers and professionals




Requirements to qualify for the post:
. Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
. Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree or equivalent
. Registered member of Health and Care Professions Council
