Barchester’s Learning & Development team support the training and career development of care staff at 250 sites across the UK. As a Learning & Development Admin Assistant, you will be instrumental in ensuring that Barchester maintain our reputation of providing exceptional care to residents, and as an employer of choice within the sector. Hybrid role with remote working with fortnightly visits to Head Office in Finsbury Square in London.

You will deal with general enquiries from staff regarding internal training programs, external courses; support remote L&D team members and other support teams with scheduled workshops and webinars.

As Learning & Development Admin Assistant you will support staff to access the Learning Management System, assist with e-learning queries, check and process programmes applications, maintain learner records on the database and liaise with providers and homes to resolve queries.

NEED TO HAVE

• Excellent attention to detail

• Professional attitude when dealing with matters in person or over the phone

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Previous administration experience preferably in L&D or other admin support role

NEED TO KNOW

• Proficient user of Microsoft Office

• Knowledge of digital learning platforms preferable

• Respond to training requests from staff based across the UK

• Schedule training in accordance with business requirements and agreed procedures

• Input data and maintain records, produce reports as required

• Deal with queries from and provide support to remote L&D team

• Complete general office duties, including answering the telephone, photocopying, filing

• Any other duties as reasonably required to support the L&D team

As a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Barchester, you’ll travel across your region to manage and develop the teams in various care homes, to help us deliver the high quality care and service we’re known for. Working closely with the General Manager or hiring manager, you’ll help implement action plans that make sure our resident’s needs are met.

Taking on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager, you can expect to help with everything from care standards to motivating your team. You’ll inspire a multidisciplinary team to make sure they help every resident to enjoy the best possible quality of life. That means leading by example and monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice and checking our regulatory compliance. ABOUT YOU
To join us as a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you’ll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification. Experience in helping residents with different health needs is important too, as is a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. You should have an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join us as a Senior Night Care Assistant.
