Job Description
Dotdash Meredith Health is seeking a highly engaged and experienced Chief Medical Officer to represent and support our health brands. We are looking for a media-savvy leader and healthcare professional with first-class communication skills and deep knowledge of the publishing and healthcare industries. The primary focus of the role will be to represent our health brands in media and with clients, as well as actively collaborate with the editorial and revenue teams on engaging initiatives that increase brand awareness in the market.
About Your Contributions
Serve as the face of the health brands, embodying the brand voice and principles in all work you do publicly, including your Chief Medical Officer title in all approved communications and appearances.
Support sales and marketing by attending client meetings and presentations in person and virtually, as needed, adding credibility and insights into brand and editorial initiatives.
Appear on brand social media and onsite video as needed.
Proactively drive discussions and plans for brand growth and high-impact media exposure.
Partner internally and externally to launch and support projects to enhance brand recognition, including special editorial programs and social media.
Use data to identify new opportunities for original insights and content partnerships.
Track the competitive landscape to identify trends and opportunities within the space.
Essential Job Functions
40% - Serve as brand leader for advertiser client engagements and meetings
30% - Represent the brand in media and at events, such as panel discussions and conferences
15% - Appear on brand social media and onsite video
15% - Help shape, define, and implement editorial strategy
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education:
- Board-certified medical professional, internal medicine/general practice or public health preferred
Experience:
- Experienced in public speaking and media appearances, and on social media
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Consistently up to date with industry trends related to health and publishing; able to identify topics of interest to a wide audience.
- Collaborative and resourceful team player who takes initiative to work with internal stakeholders
- Excellent project management skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, excellent verbal/written communication skills
Travel Required (Approximate): 25%
The role is located in the New York City office. Travel will be required for some appearances, speaking engagements, and client meetings.

Pay Range
Salary: $175,000 - $250,000
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
