The position is responsible for the operation of the pastry kitchen; ensuring that food standards, preparation, ordering, presentation and cooking techniques are carried out according to established recipes and standards.

You will:
• Assist the Executive Chef with menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies are available for expected service.
• Liaise with other departments regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes.
• Maintain excellent presentation standards and cost control.
• Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage.

As our Pastry Chef, you will possess:
• Previous experience in the hotel industry.
• Knowledge of food safety requirements
• Relevant culinary trade qualifications.
• A strong understanding of food safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A creative flair and passion for creating desserts that look too good to eat.

The salary for this position is $73,347.35 per annum, plus superannuation.

We are pursuing an Assistant Restaurant Manager for the Noosa Beach House Restaurant; located at Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort, one of Australia’s leading five star resorts; and located in the heart of Hastings Street. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a luxurious dining experience, and managing the restaurant team to deliver outstanding results. You will be tasked with maintaining high standards of food quality, service, and ambiance, while also driving revenue and profitability. In addition, this will include any administrational tasks required to achieve and maintain the above-mentioned standards and guest experience.

You will be:
- A hands-on leader who drives guest experiences and relationships;
- Have a passion for food and beverage, with sound knowledge of wines and local food influences;
- Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to create innovative concepts for special events and promotional activities;
- Highly organised, you will ensure that we have an efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high productivity, quality, and customer-service standards;
- Aware of financial metrics and capable of driving & maintaining revenue whilst managing costs and payroll.

You will have:
- Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or Senior Supervisor in a luxury food and beverage outlet;
- Ability to multitask whilst ensuring exceptional attention to detail;
- Exceptional communication skills with a passion for leading and developing a team;
- Outstanding passion to deliver excellent guest service;
- High level of creativity and innovation with strong food and beverage knowledge;
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, nights and public holidays;
- Immaculate presentation and grooming standards.

This role is paid according to the Hospitality Industry General Award - Managerial classification, with a current salary of $70,696.
