Are you a culinary master with a passion for creating exquisite dishes? Do you have a creative flair and a keen eye for detail? Look no further, as an exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Chef de Partie to join our client's team in the picturesque town of Dartmouth.
As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and presented with precision and care. You will also have the opportunity to run the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef, showcasing your leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
Their menu is constantly evolving, and they encourage their team to let their creativity flow by experimenting with new ingredients and techniques. We are seeking someone who is always looking for ways to elevate our dishes and push the boundaries of culinary excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support the Sous Chef in the day-to-day operation of the production and kitchen ensuring that set procedures are followed correctly, that the kitchen is ready for service and providing highest level of food quality, taste and presentation.
* Protect the health and safety of all guests and team members by following the due diligence of food safety, wastage, health and safety, accident reporting, fire alarms, cleaning schedules, stock control, pest control and general maintenance. Assisting in completing necessary paperwork
* Assist the Sous Chef with the frequent food hygiene and personal hygiene checks and to maintain food standards
* Assist with managing of cost and waste control and necessary due diligence
* Support the creation and implementation of all menu planning for the production and restaurant side of the business
* Assist with food purchasing based on scheduled events and stock-take
* Maintain fridge temperature, cook-chill and hot hold records amongst others
* Help to monitor and maintain (or raise when necessary) the profit margins on the food
* To comply with all legal requirements with particular reference to (but not exclusively) fire regulations, security, licence requirements and any Local Authority or Client stipulations.
