This position is available as a secondment opportunity until December 2025. We have an exciting role within the Finance department where you will be using a range of systems, activate adult social care packages, administer payments to a variety of providers in a timely manner. You’ll create invoices for adult social care clients, ensuring these are based on the most accurate information available regarding the services received.
In this vital role, you’ll administer contracts and payment schedules for residential care providers. Investigate complex issues, obtain and collate information from various sources to resolve issues as raised by service users and/or providers, and respond in an appropriate and timely manner.

About you
This is a public facing role so you’ll need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English.
Our ideal candidate must have experience in working in an office environment in a financial setting, a complex and sensitive area dealing with varied professionals at all levels.
You’ll need to have the ability to use IT packages, have the ability to run reports, extract, interpret and analyse data. To also have the ability to work as a member of a team and on own initiative in a busy office.
We are looking for someone with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of companies, individuals and internal colleagues at all levels providing effective advice or help. Ensuring advice is in line with the Care Act, financial regulations and council policy.
You must have excellent numeracy skills with the ability to calculate complex service packages to ensure contractual documentation is accurate and correct to facilitate accurate payments and charges. With exceptional attention to detail and sound verbal reasoning skills when explaining calculations.
You will also need to have knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation and guidance (i.e. Care Act 2014), have the ability to deal with contractual queries and check accurate prices are used.
