This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an expanding consultant body providing care to women in Hillingdon. This is a 10PA substantive consultant (Postnatal Lead) post in obstetrics.

The ideal candidate will have a high standard of obstetric skills. The timetable allows the postholder to maintain a breadth of skills across the specialty, with the intention of development of the job plan in line with special interests.

The post holder will participate in the consultant on-call rota for obstetrics which includes 1 in 10 weekends on call with prospective cover (4-5 weekends per year). This is a non-resident on-call rota.

Job Summary

We are seeking two enthusiastic and committed graduates to join our Trust as a Band 5 Gastroenterology Assistant Psychologist. You will be involved in a range of activities, primarily conducting assessments, brief interventions, and providing support for patients admitted to the hospital wards with alcohol-related problems, also data collection and analysis.

The role of Gastroenterology Assistant Psychologist has been established within the Trust for over four years and has resulted in a reduction in readmissions and alcohol consumption for patients with alcohol related admissions. The service has been dormant for over six months due to COVID and the career progression of the former post holders. The new appointees will reinvigorate and re-establish the service with guidance from the Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist.

You will be working alongside a busy multi-disciplinary team and will be accountable to a Consultant Gastroenterologist and receive remote clinical supervision from a Clinical Psychologist.

Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow post in Obstetric Anaesthesia at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This post is for 6 months – 1 year from August 2024.

The post holder will work in a 1 in 8 EWTD compliant rota to provide anaesthetic cover in obstetrics on labour ward and support the on call anaesthetic team when necessary including the theatre anaesthetists and ICU team.

Job Purpose Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care needs of a specific group of service users requiring enhanced care. To work effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team To manage a patient / caseload of patients within defined clinical area Teach Staff where appropriate. Key Dimensions Working as an integrated member of the team providing evidenced based interventions for service users, acting as Care Coordinator where identified. As a Registered Mental Health Nurse the expectation is that, with adequate training, supervision and assessment, you will be able to; Clinical Work according to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines as a named nurse or key worker, taking responsibility for the assessment of care and health education needs Develop, implement and evaluate care plans in conjunction with service users, carers and other professionals ensuring individual needs are met Ensure that everyone involved in the care plan receives a copy and to ensure that all relevant details are recorded on trust IT systems. Utilising the Care Programme Approach (CPA) and in line with Trust policy, provide specialist care, education and advice to service users (including carers) who are suffering from common, severe and enduring mental health problem to promote recovery and social inclusion. Liaise with and offer specialist assessment and advice to other agencies and professions. To participate in Multi-Agency meetings to offer advice and opinions to facilitate the ongoing treatment and care of clients and to ensure adherence to National Service Framework (NSF) guidelines Actively support service users in the management of their medication within a concordance framework and relevant policies. Administer medication, including Intra-muscular injections depot medication as appropriate and monitor side effects. Delegate the checking and delivery of medication when appropriate. An opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team on Grange Ward (formerly Churchill ward) as a Band 5 Staff Nurse. The ward specialises in looking after patients with gastroenterology illnesses and diseases, we also look after IBD, herpetology, dermatology, and rheumatology patients.

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, motivated, and committed to providing high quality standards of care. You will participate in all ward activities as an effective team member, supporting senior staff and taking delegated team leadership responsibilities. You will also be responsible for assessing care needs and the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of programmes of care, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

• Ensure that research based nursing care within the ward is of a high standard and in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures. By monitoring patient care, supervising juniors, and evaluating the care that is delivered.

• Ensure that all patients nutritional and personal hygiene needs are met.
