Species Recovery Engagement Officer

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint a Species
Recovery Engagement Officer.



Species recovery projects, by their nature, introduce a change and elements of uncertainty to the environment we manage.
Inevitably they can attract a range of perspectives from stakeholders, which we must understand and consider at all stages of
project design, development and implementation. Effective community engagement with people who live and work in an area, from the
start, creates a platform for open dialogue on the potential costs and benefits of recovering a species. It lays the foundations
to enable species and communities to co-exist and thrive, helping to ensure a project’s long-term success. This exciting new role
will be crucial to enabling the successful recovery of native species into Yorkshire. It will have a particular focus on
supporting stakeholder engagement and advisory work associated with pine marten recovery in North Yorkshire, a species that
provides a missing link in our woodland ecology.




The Species Recovery Engagement Officer will be responsible for developing a Communications and Engagement Plan to: identify key
stakeholders and individuals with specific interest and/or influence in the target species; and understand potential issues and
opportunities for species recovery in the area. The role will be able to think strategically about our stakeholders and work with
partners to develop effective and innovative communications to engage people with the wider work of the project. As a skilled
communicator, you will be able to enthuse and educate others; listen to and address genuine questions and concerns of
stakeholders; and create engaging activities and content to increase awareness and education to facilitate species recovery.



* Experience in, or substantial understanding of, feasibility studies for species recovery and/or working on wildlife
translocations, reintroduction/reinforcement, rewilding or ecosystem restoration projects.
* Experience developing and delivering public engagement and consultation initiatives in a countryside context and an
understanding of developing stakeholder and public engagement methodologies.
* Experience managing good working relationships with a variety of stakeholders/partners, particularly in challenging situations.
* Strong facilitation skills with the ability to bring individuals with different views together and facilitate an agreed
approach.
* Education to degree level in social science or ecology related subject, or equivalent professional qualification within a
relevant discipline.

You will be using your advanced knowledge of data engineering to lead and contribute to transformation projects that will support our strategy of improving availability of data, transforming ETL/ELT processes, and optimising productivity wherever possible. You will also simultaneously provide continuity of service to support the wider BI and research teams and ultimately the performance of the Trust. We are looking for someone with great communication skills, which will be required to engage with colleagues in the BI team and beyond, define comprehensive specifications and structure data in an accessible and clear way. This diverse role will involve working with a wide variety of data sources, creating and maintaining ETL/ELT processes, maintaining data dictionaries, creating data flows, improving existing data structures, and creating complex research data sets.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who will relish a challenge. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of data warehousing and be able to prioritise their own workload to ensure that deadlines are met and high standards are maintained. Experience of working with SQL Server tools is essential.

Your Role

The purpose of the Investment Marketer, Private Markets is to deliver content that engages our clients in our investment capabilities. 

Our challenge for the Investment Content Marketer is to create compelling investment and product marketing content focused around Alternatives and Private Markets that puts marketing at the center of Invesco's commercial success.

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Deliver the content that proposes solutions to pressing investment questions; link those solutions across the breadth of our relevant capabilities; then ensure clients can access insightful views into those capabilities.

• Work with internal and external partners to create, curate or commission the investment content that sits at the heart of our campaigns and other marketing activities. This content can take several forms – written, audio, video or graphic.

• Operate within a highly dynamic and collaborative environment, enabling fast and flexible decisions on our content agenda. Pitch ideas as a group, take on assignments, deliver against deadline.

• Partner with investment and product teams to maintain foundational and evergreen content that is fit for purpose across multiple campaigns and always-on activity.

The Experience You Bring:

• Minimum 1-3 years marketing experience working within asset management or financial services experience required.

• Foundational knowledge of private markets and alternative asset classes and how to deliver these solutions in compelling ways to institutions, intermediaries and financial professionals.

• Particular experience marketing Alternatives and/or Private Markets is an asset

• Demonstrated experience crafting original content for activation across digital and traditional media.  Demonstrated experience sourcing and procuring content across multiple contributors and SMEs.

• Demonstrated experience or knowledge of creating best practice content across multiple formats including written, video, audio, infographic, dynamic and interactive content, which is distributed in a variety of mediums.

• Experience producing financial services content preferred but not essential.

The total compensation offered for this position, which includes salary and incentive pay, will vary based on skills, experience and location. The salary range for this position in New York City is $80,000-$90,000 annually.

Job Description

Your Role

 The candidate for this position will be part of the Operations group supporting the Invesco Private Credit business. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day support of the Bank Loan platform that conducts business across various special purpose vehicles. The individual will serve as a location leader for the New York office. In addition to being a location leader, the position will serve as a function lead primarily overseeing trade settlement amongst other operational functions.

Set the example for best practice operating procedures, participants in business initiatives and respective implementation. Proactively build and develop relationships with internal collaborators, business partners and third-party providers. Recommends third party provider oversight model improvements, represents the bank loan operations team on committees, service meetings and working groups as required. Maintain and develop industry and regulatory knowledge, participate in respective coordination and testing initiatives. Demonstrates continuous improvement (CI) and risk mitigation culture.

You will be responsible for:

• Serve as the location leader for the New York operations team

• Provide leadership and direct interaction with team members

• Assist in running weekly operations meeting

• Provide back-up capability to Operations Manager in times of absence

• Serve as a function lead in the trade booking, settlements, and trade issues resolution

• Oversee all trade settlements processes including par, distressed, Direct Lending, US/EURO, equity

The experience you bring:

• 6+ years of leverage loan experience (Agency or closing group) work experience

• Possess a broad knowledge of bank loans, fund types, back office and OMS systems, broker and custodian operations to proactively support the continual development and operational enablement of bank loans.

• Familiarity with Wall Street Office Suite, Everest, S&P and Moody’s rating sites

• Experience leading complex projects and initiatives.

• Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal and leadership skills necessary to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.

• Must demonstrate the ability to handle elevated risk and time critical situations.

• Must demonstrate ability to establish priorities and appropriate deadlines both individually and at a team level.

The Corporate Operations Team has a vacancy which is key to achieving our objectives. The Team Secretary will be a key member of the Corporate Operations Team, and will contribute towards the overall delivery of administrative tasks within the portfolio.

The post holder will provide a full and comprehensive Secretarial service to members of the team, working with MDT members of the wider clinical services and across the Trust. The role is imperative in allowing senior team members to focus their time on delivering overarching team objectives.

This role can be based at either Scarborough or York Hospital. In line with the Trust's Agile Working Policy, there will also be opportunities to work from home.

This role requires an enthusiastic individual who is able to work independently and as a member of a team. You will be able to prioritise your workload and be an effective communicator with members of the multidisciplinary team, and other healthcare professionals.

You must take pride in your work, with an eye for detail and have a 'can-do' attitude. Main duties will include diary management, organisation of meetings, sending out agendas and papers and formulating concise and action focused minutes.

You will also be expected to liaise with individuals of all staff grades, including very senior staff, to gain the information you require for various meetings. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

The Client Management Market Leader (Greater New York), will be responsible for driving profitable growth, achieving persistency goals, and managing renewal targets within Guardian’s Premier Markets. This role will report to the Head of Client Management for the Northeast.

You will:

• Lead and develop a team of Client Managers in an assigned market. This includes oversight of daily activities, monitoring and management of business and transaction volumes to increase persistency/retention/profit.

In this highly strategic role, we need an experienced individual who acts as an expert partner to the Chief Product Officer (CPO) to establish the company’s product strategy. They would critically analyze the market, build insightful thesis on our competitive position, assist sales efforts, engage with strategic clients, and build go-to-market content. They would cover all segments (i.e. strategic, enterprise, commercial) within the market as well as major geographies like NA and EMEA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Analysis: Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of Investment management solutions in the Insurance market to identify growth opportunities and threats for Clearwater product portfolio. These could range from macro industry trends to competitive developments such as acquisitions. For example, they would uncover compelling reasons or barriers for clients to migrate from legacy insurance accounting providers and what their challenges are in doing so. Publish a strategy consultant style, market analysis report once a year covering these topics as well as others described below. They would also help identify new collateral, strategies, new go to market tactical motions that would help Clearwater overcome the barriers and capitalize on any opportunities.

• Solution Map/Blueprint: Create solution blueprints covering all functional areas from front to back office, and all the enabler technological functionality such as data management, integrations, and document portals. Visualize the interplay of different systems and modules. Identify 2 - 3 competitive players in each area that Clearwater provides functionality in and 2 - 3 target partners or acquisitions where we don't. This blueprint should be published and updated once a year.

• Build/Buy/Partner Strategy: Collaborate with the CPO, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), and Chief Client Officer (CCO) and their direct leaders to plan long term product strategy (build) and identify potential buy/partnership areas. Partnerships can range from consultants, systems integrators, and software providers. Then, work with the head of MP&A to identify prospect partners, acquisitions, and alliances. Participate in due diligence of specific target companies on their product strategy and differentiators.

• Client Engagement and Sales Support: Support key deals and strategic clients to drive sales and learn directly from clients. Build relationships with key stakeholders as a domain, market and Clearwater products expert. Build a trusted network of client sponsors and executives to tap into for product level engagements. Organize and host product advisory boards 1- 2 times a year in N.A and EMEA comprising of client senior executives (CXOs and CXOs - 1), working closely with CPO and CCO. Identify timely topics of interest and recruit external speakers or client speakers to complement internal speakers.

• Role is not expected to be the single point of contact (SPOC) for implementation or delivery or responsible for closing deals.

• Sales Analysis: Analyze why the company wins deals (strengths), why we lose (weaknesses) and what can drive more wins in market by segment. Aggregate anecdotal, quantitative sales operational, and qualitative evidence to build a thesis of our winning differentiators and weak points. These would result in driving our areas of over or underinvestment in the product. This report should be published once every six months.

• Thought Leadership: Speak the language of the client buyers, influencers, and consultants to establish Clearwater as a leading authority of expertise in investment management within the industry, not just in accounting or regulatory reporting. Publish blogs, write byline articles, speak at industry conferences, and engage with industry analysts.

• Go-To-Market Content Development: Produce go to market collateral such as Clearwater's industry value proposition across all our products. Create an industry commercial deck that encompasses all products and creates a compelling story of our product innovations. Other assets would include competitive analysis. Partner with marketing and pre-sales teams to review, critique and update client facing assets ranging from datasheets to demo stories. Such content should be updated once every six months or upon major product launches.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of relevant experience in investment management and accounting solutions in the Insurance market either as an investment technology provider to insurers, consultant or as a business leader overseeing one or more functions at a mid-sized or bigger Insurer. A combination of two experiences would be a big plus.

• Experience in more than one functional domain of investment accounting (required), regulatory reporting, operations, front office/investments, and large technology implementation projects.

• Can showcase insights into industry challenges such as regional regulations or changing investment allocations.

• Defined point of view of current technology vendors for investment management.

• Excellent team and relationship building abilities, with both internal and external parties.

• Ability to influence executives, senior leaders, and key stakeholders via diplomacy and tact a must.

• Demonstrated and superior written, oral and presentation skills. Ability to present to CXOs and their directs.

• Data driven, and analytically minded/critical thinker.

• Hands-on individual who can create their own market models, decks and documents.

• B.S in Finance, Business, or a technical degree such as computer science. MBA is a plus.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the debtor account and ensure processes are in place to identify and collect all member contributions in a timely manner
• Embed monthly review processes, including the management of monthly debtor review processes within Finance
• Update and present the monthly debtor dashboard to management and provide insight into the movements in the monthly debt balances
• Deal with associated queries to facilitate timely payment
• Maintain regular contact with debtors through telephone calls and emails to obtain timely payment of due balances

• Liaise with customers and internal staff to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
• Setting up new customer accounts ensuring all information is present and correct
• Reconcile remittance advices against client accounts
• Producing and distributing monthly statements to clients where necessary
• Maintaining excellent customer relationships at all times
