We are looking to recruit an experienced Finance and Payroll Officer to work in one of our busy offices to support our School Business Manager. The position could be based at any one of our four sites.
Office experience is essential and experience of SIMS Finance is desirable, although training will be provided. Excellent communication skills required - both written and verbal.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate;
• very good organisational and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
• a good level of computer literacy in Word and Excel plus a willingness to learn more specialist applications
• knowledge of Payroll and HR administration and the ability to handle sensitive issues keeping confidentiality as required
• the ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of Saffron Valley Collegiate;
• ability to identify work priorities, whilst ensuring that lower priority work is kept up to date;
• ability to act on own initiative, dealing with any unexpected problems that arise;
• the ability to communicate effectively, use of ICT and have a ‘can-do’-attitudePlease write your application in direct reference to the person specification.
Salary: Grade 6, scp 18-20: £32,925-£33,957 (pay award pending)
Annual Leave entitlement is 29 days per year

Your New Role
A team of three credit controllers reports to the Credit Manager.
Responsible for setting KPIs and ambitious targets.
Monthly one-on-one meetings with the team ensure success.
Handle all aspects of credit control, including statements, collection letters, and final payment reminders.
Take full ownership of the invoicing process, collaborating with account managers to capture all necessary information.
Working alongside all internal teams, they ensure communication is clear and efficient, thus maintaining smooth processes.
Manage the allocation of payment receipts from clients.


What You Need to Succeed

• Seeking a senior credit controller ready for advancement, or a credit manager desiring a fresh challenge.
• Must have prior experience in credit control/collections within a dynamic setting.
• Exceptional communication abilities are required for liaising with both internal teams and clients.
• Should be at ease when engaging with clients through phone and email.
• The candidate must be a team player with extraordinary attention to detail.
