SHaRON– Support, Help and Recovery / Resources On-Line Network (SHaRON) is the only digital peer-to-peer support platform in the NHS.
SHaRONsupports services users with a variety of mental health issues in Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and other NHS Trusts in the UK.
Due to expansion of the programme, we are looking for aPHPdeveloper to join our team.
This is a full time post supporting home working with an expectation ofattending face to face team meetings based in Reading.
• Support the Senior Software Developer in the provision, planning, development, implementation and management of software applications and therapeutic system, across Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and many external NHS Trusts across the wider NHS.
• Deputies for the Senior Software Developer(s), asrequiredand be able to speak and contribute on their behalf.
• The post holder will work within theSHaRONteam (Support, Hope and Recovery / Resources On-Line Network) developing complex software and applications to the highest standards. Technologies employed to deliver these solutions include Ubuntu Server, PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery), Zendframework, andXML using common IDE's such as NetBeans, and GIT.
• Solutions must be of the highest quality and capable of supporting Berkshire Healthcare and multipleorganisationsacross the UK, for whom we deliver digital solutions.
• Working closely with clients, in-housedesignersand other experienced developers we have a collaborative approach to projects, and you will be part of a highly motivated and focused team working together to see projects through to delivery, on time and within budget.
• You will liaise with customers and strive to deliver the highest levels of service.
• The post holder reports to the Senior Software Developer andis responsible fordesigning and building effective and efficient software systems.

1. Worked in a professional PHP, LAMP development role.
1. Extensive knowledge and hands-onexperience in information architecture, MVC design patterns & frameworks, web development,object-oriented programming,database design& development, andtesting.
1. Extensive knowledge of Ubuntu Server, OOPPHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery,MooTools), Zend framework, and XML using common IDE's such asPhpStorm/ NetBeans, and GIT.
1. Educated to degree level in a subject relevant to the post.
