Doing Amazing Things Together
We’re all about possibilities. Are you?
Are you an outgoing, friendly person? Do you enjoy visiting the Cinema, swimming and Bowling? Are you creative enjoying baking, cooking and arts and crafts?
Become a Support Worker.
What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.
We are looking for people to join our teams supporting people living in their own homes in Newbury.
You will be working in their home, so it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested. They enjoy Cooking and eating out. Socialising and meeting up with friends and family is also important to them, as well as going out for day trips and getting involved in their community.
So if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.
This is a part time post for 30 hours, fixed term contract for 9 months; you must be able to work a variety of shifts across the week and some weekends as well as sleep in shifts as needed.
The people we support like to get out and about and have their own vehicles, so you will need to be a driver and willing to drive their vehicles. For this you should have a full UK manual driving licence and have held it for at least 1 year for insurance purposes.
Ability to commute/relocate: To RG14 - You must be able to reliably commute for shift start times or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence
Why Join Us?

You will be entitled to annual leave with the ability to buy additional leave
Fully funded health cash plans giving you access to a 24 hour GP, money back on prescriptions, dental treatment, opticians and access to many more health benefits.
What will you do?
Supporting people is really important but it’s not all trips out and artwork. We also support people to take their medication, make healthy lifestyle choices or maintain their home in a way they are safe and well.
It sounds exciting to say no two days will be the same, but in support, sometimes they are. Sometimes people like routine and struggle with change… But when you support someone to try something new – what a feeling!
If you want to empower people to live the life they choose and you share our values… Apply to become a Support Worker today.
