You would be working as part of a rotational post within a Comprehensive Stroke Centre, between HASU, Acute stroke, and stroke rehabilitation. This post offers incredible variety and would provide the opportunity to work with an established and passionate MDT who provide best patient care and

You would have opportunity to develop and further specialise your skills within enhanced care within acute management given our Thrombectomy service, along with your specialist skills in stroke rehabilitation. You would be expected to work within a 6 day therapy service with plans in future, for a 7-day service.

care and show a passion for continuous development alongside best evidenced based care. We have a strong commitment to CPD and personal development with the aim to develop and grow your skills. We have structured and established band 5 to 6 competencies in Stroke with peer
supervision opportunities with an established supervision structure. There is also regular access to videofluroscopy and FEES.

This post would sit within the wider Speech and Language therapy service. We are a large team of 24.0 staff and are part of Integrated Nutrition and Communication Services which includes the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition Nurses. There is regular access to instrumental assessment of FEES and VFS with an established and experienced service. An excellent and exciting opportunity has arisen within our Lung Cancer Respiratory service. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Expanding Lung Cancer Service at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

You will work closely as part of our dynamic Kung Cancer service and respiratory team within the Trust.

Ultimately the Practitioner will act as an expert resource and senior clinical nursing lead providing leadership and consultancy alongside the Respiratory Clinical Director Lead Lung Cancer Consultant, the wider respiratory Consultant Team and Respiratory and Lung Cancer Nurse Specialist to implement best practice and quality care for patient within this pathway .

You will be required to use advanced skills and knowledge to support the clinical triage of patients with suspected lung cancer, including supporting diagnostic planning meetings for patients with suspected lung cancer. They will also play an additional role in the assessment and ongoing investigation and management of patients with low clinical suspicion of cancer.



You will play a key role in the management of patients with pulmonary nodules. They will be required to take a leadership role in the development of the pulmonary nodule service and work autonomously in line with British Thoracic Society guidelines for pulmonary nodule surveillance. The role will include the initial assessment and subsequent tracking of patients with pulmonary nodules and will require the successful applicant to communicate closely with the Lung Navigator and wider MDT.

You will be a permanent member of the Team and will contribute to and promote education and maintain high professional standards within the lung cancer service. The service has a strong focus on quality improvement and development, and you will be expected to participate in ongoing pathway improvement work and take a leadership role in service development. We are seeking 2 Locum Consultant in Diagnostic Neuroradiology, one for a duration of 12 months and another for a duration of 6 months.

The successful candidate would be part of our exciting personnel and equipment expansion, including state of the art CT, PET-CT, hybrid interventional theatre, and a new 3T MRI scanner suite. This post has is part of our additional requirement to support developments and expansion of service in Diagnostic Neuroradiology at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust covering both our sites: Royal Preston Hospital / Chorley District General Hospital.

There have been several major service developments recently including accreditation as a major trauma centre and designation as a tertiary vascular centreand this has highlighted an opportunity for an additional Consultant to join our regional neurosciences centre for Lancashire and South Cumbria.





The post will involve 10 programmed activities of imaging support (8 DPAs plus an indicative 1.5 SPAs) and will predominantly provide a comprehensive diagnostic neuroradiology service and will provide support for the 9 existing neuro-radiologists, three of whom perform neuro-intervention.

Primarily undertaking advanced neuro-imaging and head and neck radiology with reporting; and MDT presentations; an ability to deliver neck ultrasound would be desirable.

If successful, you would be expected to participate in a neuro-radiology on call rota with a 1:9 frequency.

The adult Neurology department is staffed by 12 Consultant neurologists. There are also 2 paediatric neurologists who have links with Central Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Are you passionate about CT scanning and dedicated to providing high quality patient care and an excellent service? If so, this may be the job for you!

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Radiographer to join our fun & friendly team within this busy and fast paced CT department. You will be required to work mainly at Royal Preston Hospital and on the new Community Diagnostic Centre mobile but may also be required to work at Chorley Hospital.

Ideally, you will have prior experience in CT scanning but training will be provided to suitable and highly motivated candidates.

Within the trust we have 5 static CT scanners and a new Siemens mobile scanner at our CDC site. At Preston we have 2 Siemens scanners in the main department and a Philips scanner in ED CT. We also have a Canon scanner within PMCT. At Chorley we have a Siemens scanner.

Within the department we undertake a wide variety of scans including major trauma, neuro, oncology, vascular, cardiac and colonography.

If desired, there is also the possibility of gaining experience working in the PMCT department. We actively encourage role development and continuous professional development.

Flexible work plans are in place to cover a wide range of duties including out of hours, weekends and nights.

As a key member of the Plastic Surgery and Burns team, you will be expected to deliver high standard of preoperative and patient-focused care within a very busy and progressive department.

You should have good communication and interpersonal skills, be able to use your own initiative and work within multidisciplinary team and on your own. You will be expected to be flexible with working hour that includes working late evenings.

You will require working in both Plastic and Burns Dressing Clinic and Charles Beard Theatre (local anaesthetic only). Our Dressing Clinic is ran by nurses who have high level of autonomy, with the ability to make detailed care decisions, admit and discharge patients from the clinic.

You will gain valuable experience in pre and post-operative care, management of minor burns and specialised wound care. You will develop wound assessment knowledge and wound care management skills including Burns Care. These skills are transferable to any area of your nursing career.
