This is a fixed-term role initially for 6 months with a possibility of a permanent position thereafter. Our ideal candidate will be able to work 37 hours per week. The salary being offered based on this will be £24,404 per annum.

We will work in partnership with Look Ahead Housing Association, the Tower hamlets VCSE Alliance, experts by experience, in a new fully integrated community mental health centre based in Bethnal Green and serving PCN1.

We are one of six pilot sites in England and intend to reshape care and return to the values that made us health care professionals in the first place.

An opportunity has arisen to join our TB team at St Georges Hospital in the role of TB Outreach Worker. This post is integral to supporting patients and their families with complex social needs through their TB treatment. You will work alongside the multidisciplinary team and other agencies to provide inclusive holistic care offering an individualised service respecting the many diverse and spiritual backgrounds of patients of patients cared for at St Georges Hospital. The TB Outreach Worker is a key team member who helps in the prevention of TB transmission through providing directly observed therapy (DOT) education and support accessing healthcare.

The main duties of the job are to provide outreach support to patients and their families alongside the TB nursing team. This includes; supporting treatment adherence through DOT / VOT, pill counts, making home and community visits, supporting patients into hospital for appointments and investigations and liaising with agencies such as the Job Centre, immigration and housing departments.

The TB service at St Georges Hospital provides specialist inpatient and outpatient services and care for the clinical diagnosis and management of TB patients. We are the tertiary referral centre for multi-drug resistant TB and provide specialist care for patients with TB meningitis and co-infection across South- West London.

The specialist nursing team consists of specialist nurses, an outreach worker and administrator and they deliver a number of services for TB patients; nurse led clinics for patients receiving treatment for active and latent TB, screening clinics for contacts of TB (adult and paediatric), occupational health contacts, new entrant screening clinics and screening for patients prior to receiving biologic treatments. We have a rapid access clinic for patients with symptoms of active TB who are referred from the community or other tertiary services. We work with inpatient teams to support the care of inpatients on TB treatment. We are the local TB team for HMP Wandsworth to whom we provide specialist advice.

St George’s Hospital in Tooting – one of the country’s principal teaching hospitals. It is a large organisation – with more than 9,000 staff – but retains a strong sense of community. We have strong links with the local populations we serve but are also recognised nationally and internationally for being a leader in research and innovation.
• To provide support and follow-up to complex patients including paediatrics, following training and assessment to provide community and clinic base directly observed therapy (DOT) and undertake random urine sample checks and pill counts in order to help assess patient’s compliance. This will involve visiting patients in their homes and providing directly observed therapy (DOT) in a variety of community settings including homeless hostels.
• To visit non attendees at home to encourage attendance at further appointments and clinics.
• To work alongside TB Nurse Specialists to provide support and follow-up care to TB patients and their families
• To identify specific needs in education of patients, relatives, and staff and facilitate meeting these requirements.
• To offer an individualised service respecting the many diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds of each family, offering confidentiality, and maintaining trust.
• To assist in the prevention and control of spread of TB.
• To link with primary care, local authority, voluntary and other agencies such as Find and Treat to provide access to support, and facilities needed for TB treatment. Many TB patients are socially excluded and therefore this post will aim to improve access to all primary healthcare and other services.

The Cancer Division is a large division with a workforce of approximately 1300 WTE and annual turnover of £240M. The Division delivers world class cancer care to patients from across the country and spans multiple sites and departments across the Trust campus. We are the specialist surgery centre for patients undergoing major prostate oncology surgery and focal therapy in north and northeast London. UCLH provides non-surgical treatment modalities for prostate including proton beam radiotherapy, medical and clinical oncology inclusive of a clinical trial portfolio.

A Prostate Cancer CNS is a highly trained nurse who provides expert care, support, and guidance to patients with cancer throughout their treatment journey. They serve as a key point of contact, offering emotional support, managing symptoms, coordinating care, and helping patients navigate complex treatment options. The CNS plays a critical role in improving patient outcomes and ensuring personalized, holistic care.

The Specialist Schools Nursing Team delivery health care to children and young people with complex health needs aged 3-19 attending school. They are responsible for undertaking health assessments, completing and updating care plans, managing emergency situations and providing training for school staff.

The post holder will ensure that high quality nursing care is delivered within Greenmead Primary Special School across two campuses.

Clinical Responsibilities



· Work in partnership with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the health needs of the children and young people are met

· Carry out clinical care interventions daily for children and young people with healthcare needs in the special school/nursery setting

· Participate in teaching nursing and support staff as delegated by the senior staff nurses/Clinical Service Lead







· Promote the mental, physical and emotional health of children and young people with physical and learning disabilities liaising with parents/carers, teachers and the multidisciplinary team

· Contribute to and undertake health assessments to identify the health needs of individual children, implementing and evaluating programmes of care, referring as necessary to other professionals

· Work with parents and specialist teams to assist in the creation and delivery of care plans and risk assessments for pupils with complex health needs and long term conditions

· Follow the SHC Services and PAN London Safeguarding Children’s Board procedures to safeguard children. Provide reports and attend safeguarding meetings as required

· Identify risks when delivering care within the service, reporting these to the senior staff nurses/Clinical Service Lead

· Contribute to the delivery and evaluation of the health promotion programmes within the school

· Support senior colleagues in planning and providing appropriate learning experiences for students. Act as a Supervisor and Mentor for student nurses on placement in the school

The post holder will hold a case load and work as an occupational therapist across Haringey community services, to provide assessment, plan and implement interventions, evaluate treatment and ensure safe discharge. The post holder will provide both specialist occupational therapy assessments and offer a strengths based, recovery focused approach with the aim of enhancing daily living skills, and engagement in meaningful and purposeful activities for service users across the community. The occupational therapist will work across services providing specific time limited interventions with clear goals established with the service user and in conjunction with the supporting clinical team.



The post holder will work with service users who have complex and substantial needs, often working with persons with dual diagnosis and coexisting conditions including physical health needs. Having a working knowledge of the Mental Health Act, 1983 (amended 2007) will be required as the post holder will support service users return to or adjust to new accommodation in the community following admission to hospital and with the aim of preventing hospital admissions.

A full-time, fixed term sub-specialty fellow in interventional radiology is required, with a special interest in interventional oncology. The post is to last 12 months. The purpose is to occupy a vacant, part deanery funded sub-specialty training post in interventional oncology.

The post holder will require experience in general interventional procedures, including percutaneous drainages and peripheral/ deep visceral biopsy under ultrasound and CT guidance. Some experience of vascular interventional radiology will be advantageous.

The post is an opportunity to work in a specialist oncological centre and develop a special interest through participation in oncological procedures and some MDT work across The Royal Marsden's 3 sites. The post holder will participate in one or two diagnostic sessions a week as well as a general diagnostics on-call rota and will therefore require experience in reporting CT and MRI and in performing general ultrasound.

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Women’s Health specialist to join the Therapies team within Barts Health Trust. The post holder will be a qualified Physiotherapist, with at least 18 months experience within the physiotherapy specialty.
