An opportunity has arisen within the Medical Care Group for a Deputy General Manager of Acute Medicine and Older People's services.

We are a large and innovative directorate, delivering same day emergency care, key assessment units, inpatient wards, and care in the community.

The postholder will be expected to work flexibly with the other Deputy General Manager for Acute Medicine and Older People's services, as determined by business need.

As UHD moves to a split between urgent care and planned care over the next 18 months, this postholder will be critical in delivering key changes to the medical pathways to maintain safe and effective patient flow. A considerable amount of additional study will be required in the student’s own time.
