• Proven experience of the provision of monthly accounts in an effective and timely manner
• Experience of running and driving improvements within an Operational Finance Function, specifically delivery of effective Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable disciplines
• A track record of managing and developing high performing finance teams
• Experience of Oracle Fusion or similar complex financial systems, e.g. SAP

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring that the financial transactions of the organisation are administered in most efficient and effective way
• Monthly accounts preparation, ensuring individual and consolidated monthly account and forecasting information is available to internal stakeholders
• Ensuring that purchasing administration from point of order through to payment is administered
• Ensuring all income is administered effectively.
• Ensuring accurate financial records are maintained with effective and timely reconciliations across General Ledgers, sub-ledgers, bank and inter-company accounts
• Payroll, ensuring payments made in line with Service Levels and that effective controls/reconciliations are maintained
• Maintaining a high level of data quality to ensure maximum effectiveness of end-to-end processing
• Driving efficiencies and effectiveness of the team, processes, data, and systems to enable improvements in the timeliness of robust financial information
• Developing and leading an efficient and motivated team to delivery of accurate and value adding financial information

This is a substantive consultant child & adolescent psychiatrist post which has arisen due to a staff vacancy. It offers a unique opportunity to join an established and dynamic team of 5 Consultant Psychiatrists in Croydon CAMHS, within South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will be based within theCroydon CAMHS Treatment Team, which focuses on the provision of specific evidence based interventions including CBT, family therapy, IPT and medical interventions such as antidepressants and stimulant medications. The post will also include providing sessions to ARC (ADHD Medication Review Clinic).

The successful applicant will also join the SLaM consultant CAMHS on-call rota (see On-call Section of the Job Description).

This post includes 7.5 PAs of direct clinical activity with the Croydon CAMHS Treatment Team with 2.5 PAs of time.

This post benefits from2.5 PAs of structured professional activities, during which the post holder will contribute to service development, clinical governance and quality improvement, in addition to completing continuous professional development and pursuing other professional activities.

The post holder will be based within the Croydon CAMHS Treatment Team, which focuses on the provision of specific evidence based interventions including CBT, family therapy, IPT and medical interventions such as antidepressants and stimulant medications. The post will also include providing sessions to ARC (ADHD Medication Review Clinic).

The whole Croydon CAMHS service is based within the community clinic at Christopher Wren House, 113 High Street, Croydon. The Treatment Team is a multidisciplinary team which offers specialist outpatient mental health services to children and young people aged 0-18 years who are registered with a Croydon GP and have moderate to severe mental health difficulties. The team is an MDT which includes psychiatry, psychology, nursing, family therapy and other disciplines.

This post involves consulting to care coordinators, direct clinical contact for diagnostic clarification, risk assessment, medication suitability etc. and follow ups. Attending the MDT meetings to contribute and oversee care planning in line with evidence based practice.

Person Specification

ESSENTIAL

Full GMC Registration with a License to Practice

MRCPsych or Equivalent

(Eligibility for) Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status. If not yet S12/AC approved this would not preclude appointment if otherwise suitable, but gaining such approval must be a priority

Training and Experience

Experience in Outpatient/Community Child and Adolescent Psychiatry



Experience of assessing and managing complex co-morbidities
